Facilities: For being a small-town university, it offers a large variety of groups, extra curricular activities, etc. I took part in the FSU/PC&TC Chamber Choir my whole second year, and it was a blast! In the Spring semester, we even got the opportunity to go to Florida so we could display our talents. There are also theatrical events/plays held at the college, which are often free for students. Sports events are also open to the public. All these things make my small home town a little more interesting and help bring the whole community together.

Overall Experience: I really love the school I attend now and the school I am going to attend in January, which are both on the same campus. I grew up in the same town (Fairmont, WV) and was not comfortable going out of town for college for a variety of reasons. The main campus is not spread across town, so you can walk to all your classes and not have to worry about driving across town to get to your classes. I also like the fact that there is a large variety of students; there are a lot of foreign exchange students and non-traditional students. Although scheduling is somewhat limited, there are no other schools I would rather attend.

Academic Flexibility: Within the first two years I attended college, I had no problems with scheduling because I was taking General Studies courses. Since these are classes almost everyone is required to take, there was a large variety of class times and locations. However, now that I have completed those types of classes and have started taking more degree-specific classes, I have had a lot more trouble with scheduling. The required Management courses I have been taking toward an Allied Health Administration degree are very limited, and some have only one class available to take. The ones that have more options only have a couple options for the main campus (where I attend classes) and the rest are offered in other counties, which is inconvenient. It would be nice if they could make more online courses available so these issues would not occur as often.

Online Courses: I really liked taking my online courses! In these courses, you still had deadlines you had to meet like you do in regular courses, but you did not have to meet in-person as often. Online courses are great for people with busy schedules or those who cannot personally attend college courses. The only disadvantage I encountered was that I procrastinated too much, but I do that with the courses I attend on campus as well.

Campus Resources: All of the leaders are super nice and helpful all the time. They keep everyone updated on upcoming events, make sure we have everything we need, and will talk to us to help our grades if they are dropping. It's like a big family.

Academic Flexibility: Each of my classes begin at 4:00pm Monday through Thursday. It is very nice and convenient and working my daily schedule around my class schedule is a breeze. My classes are also around the level I am at, which makes homework easier to be completed. My instructors also are very understanding are there to help me learn, not just to make a living.
