4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Mostly, my school consists of giving second chances to people, single parents, and high school graduates. Typical students at my school come to do basic classes then transfer to 4 year colleges to further their education.

Campus Resources: My school has a lot of clubs and activities to choose from. For example the student support services club. This program helps you with getting tutoring, they will provide you with a laptop if you need to borrow one and also they have counselors that help you with your every need.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The computer network is always working great! There are always teachers and staff around to help whenever there is a problem with the network.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid workers are very nice and work to be as helpful as they can be. They take the time to make sure you are getting as much aid as you can qualify for, while also suggesting websites to find additional scholarships. The only reason I would rate the Tuition & Financial aid department a B+ is due to phone lines being busy during the week before school, so you have to go to the office in person.

Student Body: Piedmont Technical College is a very well diversified 2-year college. Many of the students are in medical assisting programs or nursing classes, causing some of these people to be the brightest and friendliest. Many people have different beliefs, and political points of view, although there could be more differences exposed to the individuals just to gain knowledge. So many students are intelligent and hardworking, it is very surprising at a technical school.

Academic Flexibility: The classes here are flexible. I only go to school four days a week and it does really mess with my work schedule.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The best thing about this school is that they have job fairs helping people with employment. Besides that this school is a normal community college.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Every room has at least one computer and printer. If you don't have a computer a home the labs are open late at night during the week for anyone working on an assignment.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Getting money for tuition is a breeze if you are in financial need of money. People who come form middle class families have a hard time finding scholarships to help pay for college. This school could do a better job a helping students reasonable scholarships.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The only thing that this school doesn't have is sports, but without that the services here are great.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The library is conveniently located and very accessible.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The funeral industry is very different from many others.

4 College Senior

Student Body: I believe that the student body at Piedmont is overall very friendly and helpful. There is such a diverse student body that is willing to assist fellow students with class work or even finding a location on campus.

Career Services: Any questions or concerns i had, i was always helped. I think Technical schools are better than universities because its way more hands on

2 College Freshman

Campus Resources: For students, no. But if you are a young kid they have great summer programs that include all different topics that are wonderful.

College Freshman

Career Services: I have not needed to use any career center resources so I cannot comment on those, nor have I been a part of any job searching. There is no alumni network available though.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: There are always computers somewhere open on campus to be used, they also have Mac labs, printing, and wifi around campus. If you need internet access or access to a computer for any reason you get do it on campus with no hassle.

1 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The College does hold a club day, so clubs do exist on campus, but even as a student it was difficult to figure out what was actually going on. I rarely saw student participating in these clubs and didn't see them around campus. I have proof they were there, so I give them the credit for existing, but I just didn't see that they did much. Since there were no dorms, it's a complete commuter campus, there are no gyms, or sports teams. Its more of just a class then go home, you miss a lot of college experience.

Campus Resources: I love my campus in Laurens! I haven't spent much time, except for meetings and purchasing books, at the main campus in Greenwood. The Laurens campus has a cozy feel to it, and I feel like everyone there is pat of one great big family. I can do everything I need at the Laurens campus...apply, register, advising, submitting financial aid documents, purchasing scantrons, have tests proctored. I can do just about everything at Laurens that can be done in Greenwood without the hassle of having to wait in sometimes long lines.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: I love my campus in Laurens, SC. It is a comfortable facility, it is not necessarily small, but it has a cozy feel to it. It is small enough that everyone just about knows everyone else. The professors address you by your first name, and will just stop in the hall to chat with you. The professors do take a genuine interest in their students academically and personally.

Campus Resources: The school's network is a little dated and the network occasionally goes down, but for a small school in the country they do amazingly well with the resources they have. I have only been to two of our campuses, but they both have plenty of computers available for our use. We are able to print at school and are allotted 15 pages per day that wecan print for free, after that it is just 10 cents port page.

Academic Flexibility: Piedmont Tech based in Greenwood, SC offers many ways for students to obtain their education. We have, I believe 7 campuses. Instruction us offered in a traditional classroom setting, hybrid classes, PEN classes, fully online classes, and short-term and late start classes. The curriculumisexcellent and the majority of the professors truly love their jobs and it shows!

3 College Junior

Student Body: Some students are working while going to school. Other students go full time.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professors are great because they are willing to help us with anything we need help with.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm a nursing major, and my classes are exactly what I expected so far. All the classes that I am taking this semester are related to my major. My major does require a lot of work and study. After graduating, I plan on getting a job at a hospital.
