3 College Freshman

Academics: Since it's foundation year, many students are undecided so the school lumps everyone together in all the major courses or so. It's annoying but for those who don't know what they want it helps though not by much.

Academics: They pile work on you but you do have time. It's just whether your personal life suffers or not.

Academics: Fine Art – All instructors are working professional fine artists. The workload is reasonable and challenging. The curriculum is designed to address the specific needs of your major, and internships are a requirement for graduation. The school has a good network of internship opportunities.

4 College Freshman

Academics: A Lot of Work, but Well Worth the Effort. One of the reasons I came to PCA&D was because they offer a major in Illustration. The curriculum is tough and very deadline-oriented especially in the illustration and graphic design majors. The teachers are all experts in their field and the majority of them are currently working in their field in addition to teaching here. The one vice, however: if you come in already knowing what major you want, foundation year is going to be obnoxious at best. But if you can get through that year, the rest is intensive and you come out with an amazing portfolio. If you're not sure, I'd recommend coming to one of the senior shows. Their work is incredible!
