Campus Strictness: I have not had many run ins with the cops. But if you drink and drive ON CAMPUS they will get you, they will not be happy when they do. And if you yell or say smart ass remarks to them while they are trying to talk to your drunk ass they will get very very mad at you and yell back and then put you in holding and call your parents. *as someone who say the new freshman orientation during the 4th of July party scene. Dont be stupid/

Campus Strictness: Visitation in dorms is very very lenient. You are able to have any one you want over. However, if caught with alcohol or drugs in the dorm there can be very serious consequences.

Campus Strictness: Most of the strictness really depends on your living options, surroundings, and RA. But it's guarantee that if you get caught drinking, smoking, or being disruptive on campus in the dorms, you're getting into trouble.

3 College Senior

Campus Strictness: Parking is a big deal on campus, and underage drinking as well. As long as you follow the rules and be responsible, you'll have no issues. The professors are pretty lenient as well; your success is up to you. They treat you like adults.

Campus Strictness: If you understand it is only to protect you its ok

Campus authority at Penn State can be strict. Pranks, illegal acts in the dorms, and more are taken very seriously, and the University will make an example of students who are caught. While the University police are rarely the source of student complaints, they're not known for being sympathetic. It's best to keep your on-campus nonsense quiet, or else move it downtown.

When it comes to general downtown rowdiness, most of the local police expect it and won't harass each and every drunken college student-they'd never get any sleep if they did. However, if you're caught being especially rowdy and too inebriated for your own good, you will be taken in. Being cited for underage drinking or providing to minors means a hefty fine and a required class about the dangers of alcohol. Although Penn State is a party school, this doesn't mean the students have free license to do whatever they want; the town does take public disturbances and lawbreaking very seriously, and police are constantly on patrol during the weekends and holidays.
