Greek Life: No Idea – I am not in a fraternity so I have no idea what is like to be in one. After the death of Joe Dado last year, Greek life took a huge hit. You can attend a party, have a great time, and never have to do anything about it. Greek life at penn state is entirely up to you, you are not judged if you join or don't join.

Athletics: Can't Be Beat – PSU does it right when it comes to sports. Football is incredible from fans to team. Basketball needs work but attending a game in the Bryce Jordan Center is second to none. Women's Volleyball are three time NCAA champions in a row...you really can't beat that. 100+ wins in a row. Men's and Women's fencing is equally talented. Swimming, Tennis, and Baseball are also very respectable. You cannot forget Wrestling either as we have the Greatest Wrestler ever, Cael Sanderson, as the head coach. Gymnastics are also very entertaining and talented.

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Are Easy to Find – I think with some initiative one can easily find a suitable apartment. The closer you are, the more expensive it will be and vice versa. However, living a mile off campus puts things into perspective. It's nice to get away from everyone but it also takes a while to get to campus.

Parking: The parking is rediculous. Do not think that just because your going to park for 15 minutes without a pass that you won't get a ticket because you will. On top of the strictness there is always minimal parking and if you consider getting an on campus parking pass plan on dishing out a couple hundred dollars per semester

Guys & Girls: A New Beginning – Penn State University Park campus is very diverse. It is a melting pot of culture and friendship. It gives you an "at home" feel.

Facilities: The facilities at Penn State can vary. There are a lot of old building that are beautiful but need some upgrading but then there are brand new state of the art buildings with everything you need. The gyms, libraries and student center are all relatively new and are kept in great condition. There is a place for everyone and everything. The campus is huge so it must conform to fit everyone's needs.

Campus Strictness: Penn State, though always enforcing safety, allows each student the ability to find his/her own way. Not overly strict about drinking, Penn State allows one to make a decision for him/herself. It's all about making the right choices like an adult! It's a learning/growing experience that most schools don't offer.

Off-Campus Dining: Local Joints Become Favorites – There are a number of unique, local joints downtown that people favorites after one visit. Prices are usually fair, and the quality is above par.

Local Atmosphere: Walking on Penn State's campus or through downtown gives one a clear sense of Penn State Pride. Both students and locals are clearly happy to be there, and the school provides a huge yet tight-knit community feeling.

Overall Experience: I've Never Wanted to Be Anywhere Else – As a student who started at a branch campus, I can say for a fact that All penn state campuses have something great to offer students. Academically, we have some of the brightest and most encouraging professors, as well as staff and people who genuinly care about you. What amazes me is how in a school so big I can still feel like an individual and not a number.

Diversity: Very Diverse – At Penn State you will have at least one friend or classmate from every corner of the world. To name a few, my closest friends are from hong kong, kosavo, and el salvador. I have met students from France, Germany, and Canada as well!

Computers: Wireless in the Dorms Would Be Great – We have wireless all over campus except for the dorms. WE still need an ethernet cable to hook up to the internet. this is the ONLY compliant about our schools computer systems. Everything else is wonderful and easily accessible. There are so many places to go to work that hardly ever one spot is crowded.

Academics: Penn has amazing and vivid academics and professors

Parking: Horrible parking and charge high prices to park. Almost a parking meter at every corner. Parking permit over priced. Not a good deal at all.

Nightlife: Night Life – I rarely go out. When I do its usually on campus where they have free movies and refreshments and a small fee for a dance.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Food Critic – Average food, however more variety would be most appreciated such as food from other cultures.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: Dominate the Night Life – Fraternities are only huge for the parties on the weekends and during football season. They also hold the world's largest philanthropic effort with THON, the best dance marathon in the world held to support children with cancer. Greeks are important, but don't dominate excessively.

Athletics: School Spirit Is #1 – If there is one thing that Penn State can do more than any other school, its this - How to throw a party for the athletic teams! Between our 3-time consecutive NCAA Championship Women's Volleyball team and our White Out crowd supported Nittany Lion Football team, we have school spirit above the rest! IM sports are also incredibly popular, including a full tournament bracket for certain sports!

Guys & Girls: Sports and Greek School – If your high school was not a highly sociable crowd, get ready for a huge change at Penn State! The sorority, fraternity, and sports scene at PSU is tremendous, and the guys and girls reflect that very idea. There is a huge variety of guys and girls, but most share one trait - they are very outgoing, fun loving people!

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Campus Activities – Penn State offers a lot of things to do on campus from free movies, comedians, bands, and clubs from athletic to video gaming

Campus Housing: The dorms on campus are in very convenient locations. Accessing computer labs, food, etc. is very easy.

Health & Safety: Personal Safety – I feel very safe at Penn State but it isn't because of police or safety services. I tend to trust the people that attend the school but reastically, I don't feel that it would be very difficult for a crime to be committed on or off campus. I just don't think it happens often.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: An Awesome School – My thoughts are that Penn State is one of the greatest school to attend. Even though I am a World Campus Online student, I still reap the benefits of those at the school. All you have to do is do your school work and you will be successful with your grades.

Despite common reservations about the location and climate, most Penn State students are fiercely loyal to their alma mater. Penn State boasts one of the largest alumni populations in the United States; graduates are proud of their degrees, and employers recognize the University’s name immediately. Although the campus is located in a very rural area, school is technologically up-to-date and on the cutting-edge of current research.

Aside from academics, PSU is also known for its social scene, especially in relation to sports and parties. Nittany Lion football—home of the 2008 Big Ten Champions—is a national draw and a point of pride for both the University and the town of State College. For anyone interested in playing or watching varsity sports, PSU is a top choice. Penn State has also been ranked highly by many polls and “party school” surveys as one of the top party schools in the nation. While it certainly isn’t the wildest town, these rankings are definitely accurate. The small-town setting and large-school atmosphere makes for little else in the way of entertainment, so it can be hard to avoid encountering the party scene during your time as a student. Still, the mix of work and leisure seems to work well for most of the student body, and academic standards at Penn State remain relatively high. It’s easy to spend four years at Penn State as an ever-serious student, focused completely on whatever you choose to study. With so many opportunities to relax nearby, balance and moderation are some of the best skills to learn from your four years in college.
