3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Dobbins is pretty decent food and a good price if you have a meal plan, but if you don't, you'll probably get more nourishment and save more money by just eating your cash. Bruno's is very good but expensive as with everything else in college, and is open late which is good. The Galley is sort of a convenience store and is great. It has a lot of snack food choices as well as stuff for the dorms like frozen meals and shampoo and such. The only downside is it closes early so plan ahead. There are also few other small food stands on campus that have drinks, bagels, etc.

Campus Dining: To be honest, I wish that we could have more variety. There is a lot of things, but sometimes the dining is about the same. Also some of the things they do could use some improvements. Although the prices are not bad.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The campus food is what you can expect from any middle or high school cafeteria. It is mostly bland and the same items over and over.

There are three main places to eat on campus: Dobbins, Bruno's, and The Clark Café. Dobbins is a typical all-you-can-eat cafeteria with pizza, a salad bar, a wok station, a grill, and a pasta line; Bruno's has better food but is slightly more expensive; and The Clark Café offers salads, bagels, sandwiches, coffee, and tea. Most students agree that all of these eateries have very little variety, and the food is not very high quality. The biggest complaints students tend to have are that the food is extremely unhealthy, there are very few vegetarian options, and it gets very old after a while. The vegetables and pasta are usually covered in butter, and students who try to eat healthy or follow a vegetarian diet are pretty much out of luck. Bruno's is slightly better than Dobbins as far a quality goes. The deli line is very good and a popular choice for many students. Bruno's also has specials each day, which are popular, and offers many grab-and-go options, as well as burgers, chicken, pizza, and fruit. Dobbins does offer a "to-go" service as well, which students use when they don’t have time to sit and eat. Brunch on weekends is probably the best time to eat at Dobbins.

If you plan to live in the dorms, you are required to purchase a mean plan. Students who like typical American fare such as burgers, fries, hot dogs, pasta, and pizza will probably use their meal plan pretty often, but anyone who likes home-cooked, healthy, or vegetarian meals will have problems, so it’s best to start out with the smallest plan to see where you fall. You can add more money until the end of the semester; money from first semester will carry over to the second but nothing is carried over to the next school year, so be sure to use it all before summer. Also, a lot of students keep their refrigerators stocked with healthier items and eat at the dining halls on a limited basis. One nice thing about the meal plan is that the meal plan can be used to buy food from any of the eateries on campus, meaning there is not a limit as to how much must be spent at the cafeteria versus Bruno's.
