3 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletic teams on campus are good, but the sporting events are not well attended. Students come to show their support mainly because there are free incentives being offered.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: As an athlete, I'm biased in saying our sports are very successful, but there is a major lack of school spirit here. Most people would rather lay in their rooms than go watch the game that night. It may be because of the demographics of our population.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics are great! If you can, I highly suggest competing in college! Sports at Behrend dominate. Every sports team (minus the men's water polo team) here at Behrend kicks butt and comes home with wins and championships. Also, as an athlete you get to schedule before everyone else.

College Freshman

Athletics: I don't know much about sports on my campus.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The athletics at our school help to build school spirit and fan support. Not only do athletic sports keep you in shape but they help to build character and self esteem. Being on an intramural team makes it possible to have fun being on a team while also making new friends.

School Spirit
Behrend students are generally very proud of their school. Most simply say they go to "Behrend" and do not even mention the Penn State part of the school name. Although Behrend was once thought of as a two- year school for students who didn't get into University Park, that has changed drastically in recent years. Most students now stay at Behrend all four years, and more and more students are applying to Behrend as their first-choice campus over University Park. Most students here are seen wearing either Behrend or Penn State apparel. Alumni are very connected with students and provide a lot of help to students searching for careers.
Getting Tickets
Behrend students have the same opportunity as students at University Park to purchase any tickets and at the same prices. But if you want to get season tickets to football games at University Park, you better be online the minute they go on sale because they sell out in about a minute (literally). At Behrend, you can go to any sporting event you want for free, and you will not have to worry about anything selling out.
