5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: We recently had switched our online course set up but it wasn't a easy change. Just took some getting use to but the professors were really understanding of the students using a new site. I really liked how you got to interact with the other students on the online courses.

Campus Resources: From the student services to the library everything is super neat and study ready for you. Everyone there is willing to help you with any questions you have. I found myself in the library a few time a week studying because of how comfortable I felt there.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The library had plenty of computers and even free wifi for you to bring your own computers. For me it was nice because I didn't have a computer right away so they were super helpful. They even have a front desk in the library where the ladies helped you print things off, it did cost ten cents for every page but the ladies never denied you if you were money short. Also all threw out each building in the college they had free wireless access for students.

Student Body: Its crazy how much the students came together outside of my biology class to study and make sure that they were all ready for the test. Once a week we all meet at the college to make it easier for everyone and we all sat together and studied, making sure everyone was fully ready for the test each week. Super helpful!

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The nursing program is a really hard program to get into, they make sure their students are fully ready for what they are about to get into. The workload is great its hands on and some paperwork/homework in which you are given enough time to finish.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Class registration is supper easy you meet with an advisor that one of the ladies in the student services will set you up with. They help you figure out what classes need to be taken so you are all ready and done by the time needed, supper helpful.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Classes are afforded at night and during the day to help work with your flexibly, I haven't had to transfer any credits yet but all though I know people who have and it went really smooth. I really enjoy this college!

5 College Sophomore

Career Services: They are willing to help you do anything you want, if u want to transfer credits they are there and willing to walk with you threw the steps. Same with looking for a job after you are done with schooling.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is reasonable for what you get in return. The financial aid process was supper smooth and I was able to get help with what I need to turn in for it at the student services. Everyone is very helpful.

Academic Flexibility: this school is has a higher tuition than the other community collage I have attended

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I plan to get my AA in Science at my current school and then move on to University to obtain my Bachelor's degree. As for right now, being in a more intimate environment is exactly what I need to get the most out of my education because it allows me for more one on one time with the professors.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Being a student of two other colleges, I have found that this one is the best at challenging me and keeping me on my toes. I feel like the curriculum is not only interesting, but it also allows for me to feel completely enveloped in each subject.

4 College Junior

Facilities: I feel like in all of my science labs that being right on the water I can get a hands on experience. It is really rewarding to get to see so much of human effect on the environment and be on the forefront of discovery!

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love that I can go to a small school and still get a challenging education. It is really nice to get to be around so many people, but not enough to be overwhelming and feel lost in the crowd by the professors.

4 College Junior

Student Body: There is a bigger age difference in my classes than I thought there would be, with ages flexing from fresh out of high school to seniors. I was pretty surprised at this, but pleasantly.

4 College Senior

Student Body: We have students here from all over the year so it's very accepting and diverse.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I've enjoyed my online classes very much! Great response from my professors and perfect for independent-minded students!

3 College Senior

Career Services: I haven't utilized these so I cannot comment on their efficacy.

4 College Senior

Facilities: We have award-winning soccer games that are available. I've also heard wonderful thing about the student generales and the plays put on at my school.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computer lab is wonderful - very helpful and always a computer available when you need one. I've heard excellent things about the math lab also.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Everything you need is available in the computer lab - including people there to help answer your questions whenever you need help. Free wifi also.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I've enjoyed interacting with my professors and learning not just from them, but also my fellow students. I have been challenged and stimulated by the learning environment and the subject matter.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I'm just at my community college to earn an AA so I can transfer to a 4-year college. It's a great school all-around though; I've had a very pleasant experience thus far.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: It's a small community college, so the diversity of subjects offered is fairly limited, but there are a few surprises like the criminal justice classes offered. Also, if you have a disability they make good efforts to be accomodating.

Peninsula College provides a unique approach to learning and helping students excel in the career path of their choice. Instructors provide challenges that help prepare students for the working world or the univeristy they want to go to. In some aspects, students demand more support, but there are others who find the process of completing a degree or earning a license easy to achieve with a great staff.

What makes this college unique is that instructors are constantly providing outside sources to help students better understand a certain subject. Professors will often have students watch National Geographic for perspective on global issues or listen to authors who come and share their poems and short stories to help get a better understanding for why it's important to learn about literature.
