4 College Senior

Overall Experience: everyone is so friendly and very helpful. the teachers care about how they teach.

Overall Experience: I have heard several professionals speak about students from prcc school with high remaks

Online Courses: At first, I was skeptical about taking online courses because I was afraid that I wouldn't ever remember to check in everyday but it turns out that that wasn't an issue. I liked the flexibility of taking online courses and my professors were usually very good about posting assignments at the beginning of the week that wouldn't be due until the end of that week. It was easy for me because I ended up doing all of my assignments ahead of the due date and then I could still focus on my in class assignments as well. I was also always able to get in touch with my online professors about a problem or if I had a question.

Overall Experience: If I could do it all over, I wouldn't do it any differently. The people are what make my school unique- both students and facility. Playing intramurals has been one of my favorite experiences. I would choose my school again because of the friendships that I have established as well as the positive life changes I made for myself.

Academic Experience: I feel really important in my major. The kinesiology building is newer and connects to the recreation center. Our professors expect a lot from us so they really push us to do our best on all assignments and exams.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: All of my professors have been very dedicated and passionate about teaching as well as making sure that I and my classmates succeed. Some of the most well known programs at my school are nursing, speech pathology, education, culinary, arts, and business.

Campus Resources: I would say the best resource on campus is the recreation center. The library is now being updated for the first time since around the sixties so I'm excited to see that upon completion. However, the only good thing about the "student center" is that we have a Subway. The book store could also be bigger.

Academic Flexibility: Scheduling has been very easy and there are plenty of classes with different meeting times available. Transferring credits has not been a hassle- thank goodness.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid is tricky and overwhelming to me. There is so much paperwork involved that I sometimes feel like I don't even want to waste my time filling it out just to be denied any financial help in the end. I wish that my school offered more scholarships for people who are not from around the area. It seems like a bulk of their scholarships are for people who graduated from local high schools or live in certain neighboring counties. My education is worth the money I have paid, I just wish I didn't have to pay so much out of pocket.

Career Services: Everyone involved with post-grad services is always ready to help and does a great job advertising to the students.

4 College Junior

Student Body: There are several different types of people and they all get along. People range from different nationalities, religion, and lifestyle but everyone is pretty much like family.

Facilities: I loved the campus at Pearl River. The building were nice and the whole campus has and is recently being renovated! I cant wait to see how it looks when it is all finished!

Academic Flexibility: With playing a sport, classes were very flexible with my sport!

Career Services: I am not sure how to answer a review on that question.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition at PRCC was very reasonable, even as an out of state student!

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I loved all of my online classes that I took at PRCC. The teachers were great and I felt like I was able to keep up just as good as I would if I were in the actual classroom!

Campus Resources: The campus at PRCC was beautiful!! We had new dorms and they are in the process of a new arena for the basketball team. In my time at Pearl River I actually was on the softball team and we had a very nice facility. The whole athletic complex at Pearl River was very nice. The full campus there wasn't very big so there wasn't that far to walk from class to class but it was very nice for its smaller size!

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: My academic experience at Pearl River was not within a certain major. In my time at that school I took only the classes required to earn my Associates in Arts degree. However, I will say that every class I took was very interesting and I loved all of my teachers there. I actually didn't mind going to classes and that was the best part of my experience at Pearl River!

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The registration process at Pearl River would have been confusing if I would have been trying to do it myself. However, there were plenty of people there to guide me along the way and make sure I got everything I needed to be registered in all of my classes. All of the staff at Pearl River was very friendly and very helpful, which is another reason I was proud of my decision to go to school there!

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: At Pearl River Community College I felt at home around everyone there. My teachers cared about my grades and made a real effort to help me when I needed it. The classes were not big enough to fill overwhelmed. If I could chose a community college again, I would definitely consider Pearl River because I loved how at home I felt there, and how cared about I felt around the teachers and students!
