4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I would choose to go to Pasco-Hernando State College again. I really like the laid-back environment.

4 College Junior

Student Body: There are students from all backgrounds, and ages. I feel very comfortable being there, and knowing that I am not alone.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Computers are available anytime, and they have free wi-fi for your laptop.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I have not really explored all of the resources on campus.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The associates program is really nice. You get to basically choose your courses you want, and explore areas you might be interested in.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: They offer many programs for all interests. The registration is quick and easy.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Pasco-Hernando State College is a very comfortable, laid back school.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid department is really slow, and they never answer the phone or call you back. But, overall they get the job done for you.

Online Courses: I love Pasco-Hernando State College. I am in my second semester and no complaints from me so far. I do wish they would have more online courses available.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Overall it's an okay school. Great for people who have been out of school for a few years and want to pursue their degree. Also you save a lot of money if you can't afford to go to bigger schools. The campus is small, but this makes it easier to get from class to class. And the student-faculty ratio is low so you interact more with your profs.

Academic Experience: They had my major which was A.A. Business Administration. Some professors are very experienced in their fields of teaching and some show no interest. The workload isn't too rigorus, and there are always resources to help. The library has tutors for almost every subject. The curriculum is straight-forward and professors usually follow their syllabus.

Academic Experience: The class I found most difficult was Microeconomics. This was because of the teaching style of the professor. She wouldn't really write on the board and she would just talk. She would also get sidetracked a lot which made it hard to follow along to what you had to write down. On the other end of the scale, Intro to Business is one of my favorite classes. The professor that taught it is very passionate about the subject and interacts a lot with the students. He forces you to think outside the box which I find very stimulating every time I enter his class.

Student Body: The school is a blend of old, young, military, international, geeky, jockey students. So you can expect some versatility with the students that attend here. Most of the campus is caulcasian, but there are a few hispanics and african-americans. Some people that attend aren't really motivated and some are because they may have missed a few years of school and want to get back into it.

Campus Resources: There's a lot of resources on campus, and it also makes it better that the campus is small enough to walk to all of them. Printing isn't free in the library but if you go to the academic advisor building they have a mini computer lab that prints for free. The library has good hours. Throughout campus wifi access will cut in and out because there isn't one main network on campus.

Campus Resources: If you're an athlete, they treat you very well on campus. The academic advisors try their best to make sure you graduate on time. There are events that happen on campus almost every 2 weeks. We had peace weel where everyone got to make tie dye shirts and there was music being played throughout campus. Did I forget to mention free food!?

Academic Flexibility: Despite having my academic advisor messing up my schedule, which put me back a semester to graduate, there are a lot of options regarding class times. Elective wise, there aren't too many interesting classes. Some people might get stuck with renaissance or art appreciation.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: Being a self motivated person I found that online classes were great. I fit well into my time schedule and I could access it at anytime. The website, which is MyPHSC, is easy to navigate through. Some classes require you to have a webcam and mic to interact with your classmates and professor. I found that really cool.

Facilities: The campus has a lot of wildlife such as turtles, fish, and one time I seen a baby alligator. The school does a very good job taking care of the scenery. The actual school buildings are a bit dated and the only building that seems to be more modern is building S, which holds most of the business classes. The library is an okay size, sometimes the staff there is helpful. The space in the performing arts building is beautiful, it's just that they don't really use it.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Although I have my tuition covered by my athletic scholarship, the tuition her is very affordable. I heard financial aid gets pretty crazy around the beginning of the semester.

3 College Senior

Career Services: They have a lot of connections with other schools and local businesses.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Considering that i took a few years off after high school before starting mt college education, the staff was so helpful in showing me what to do in all the processes like admission, financial aid, class schedules, etc.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: School schedule was very flexible and it could work around my life's schedule.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Seems like your average group of college students.

College Sophomore

Facilities: No unique opportunities at this school yet, just a GREAT place to get going on your college path.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There is a library on campus. No real student center, athletics department, and not many student activities.
