4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the local area is really fitted for college students. They have a great downtown are in city place for college students to hangout.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek Life isn't very big at PBA. We have two different Sororities.

2 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Sad to say but on campus housing in ridiculously expensive and off-campus housing is even more expensive than that. Because of the school's location alone everything nearby is already expensive. Only well-off students or those who have family and friends in the area or cars to live further away from campus live off-campus. As expected from such high prices, everything is up to par, especially safety and security.

College Senior

Greek Life: There is no Greek life at my university. I'm almost certain having a few would boost school spirit and social life on campus but because the university is Christian I think they shy away from organizations of that nature. There are no fraternities on campus and one Christian Sorority on campus, but they do not have much of a presence on campus that would compel students to join. They sell donuts and have manicure parties from time to time but other than that I haven't seen them do much.

Athletics: Athletics aren't the pulse of Palm Beach Atlantic and there isn't much school spirit beyond welcome week. The team performance in basketball is lack luster and not much is mentioned about other sports on campus but I do know others exist. The athletic facilities are amazing and appeal to everyone on campus even someone like myself who isn't too interested in gym activity, but with yoga, hip hop cardio, zumba and a number of other fitness activities apart from the gym itself I cant stay away.

Campus Strictness: I believe that we are all adults and should be treated as such. Transferring from another college and coming to this one was definitely a huge shock when it came to school policies especially those that govern campus housing. In this sense the school is ran like a daycare and some rules interfere with a student's personal endeavors more than is necessary. From forced breathalyzers to R.A. entering the rooms of freshmen at night to make sure they are there, the school goes much too far.

Health & Safety: The Orlando campus is not in the best section of town but security is visible and students are encouraged to walk together to their cars after class in the evening. By being alert to my surroundings I have always felt safe.

College Senior

Athletics: The Orlando campus does not have any sports teams apart from the teams at the main campus in West Palm.

College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: There are plenty of apartments in the Orlando area, several complexes are within a couple of miles from the campus. I am not acquainted with much of the information requested because I live in my own home about 15 miles from campus and commute.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing around the West Palm Beach area can become very pricey. If it is not too expensive then it is probably not in the best area.

Academics: The education program is fantastic here. Unlike many other schools, the last year is hands on training. One semester is spent teaching in a public school district and the other is spent in a Christian school. An opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic for the Christian school teaching is also an option.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: One thing I noticed and loved about most of my professors was that the majority of them had their doctorate. It was nice to know my education was in the hands of someone who was highly qualified at what they do.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The program I am in is Elementary Education. It is not a difficult major to get in, but there are required tests and guidelines along the way. However, the school tells you all the additional steps that need to be taken to ensure you receive your degree and are also able to get the state license.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I just began the classes for the Education program this last semester so I am not too far into it. Like with anything, some courses have a great deal of work while others do not. no matter what, you need to buckle down and make sure you are focused on successfully completely all work.

Campus Strictness: All the rules are in the handbook and established before you ever attend the school, so nothing should come as a surprise. Any strictness is simply the following of the rules.

Health & Safety: I feel like there should be more practice on lock downs just in case someone came with a gun or weapon on campus.
