Majors: Well this is a relatively new program here at Pacific Union College and one that I'm happy to be a part of. The Political Science major has been something that I had been hoping would be added on to the school ever since my freshmen year. Unfortunately, at the time that they did not have the program so I decided to declare as a business major. It was a very informing major however I did not like it at all. So when they finally added the political science major I jumped ship and I have loved it ever since. If I could do it all over again I would definitely do it. I would like to become a Lawyer and I'm hoping that this career choice will help me out in the long run. No concerns at this point, if I did have any it would be just to get good grades and pass all my classes.

Campus Strictness: Pacific Union College is a Seventh Day Adventist private school which means they are a private Christian college. This translates that they uphold certain rules and regulations. Moreover, if you do participate in drinking whether under or overaged, drugs, etc... you will get caught and there will be punishments are detailed in the Student Handbook. They are rather strict about these sorts of activities on the college campus.

Majors: Im currently a student at Pacific Union College, I have been very satisfied in my education and I feel as in the past year I have learned the most valuable lessons during my learning experience. The instructors are always available to help and work with a student. Tutoring is available 6 days a week.

Majors: The Process of getting into the nursing program is relatively challenging. However if the student is determined and has good studying discipline is will defiantly be possible

Weather: It is hot most of the time. During the winter it can get very cold during the night, but its so beautiful you don't mind.

Majors: I am very happy. If I could do it all over again I would take a computer class on excel in high school, They use a lot of excel for a lot of the assignments.

Majors: The process includes making an appointment with an adviser and discussing why you want to be in this major. There are not really abnormal process to the application. Tips would be to do great in math, and make sure this is really what you want to do.

Majors: I love the program I am in. The advisers and classes are great, they really want you to succeed here which is great. The workload can be overwhelming but the teachers are great with spacing out the test.

Majors: A typical internship would be working at an office, doing the paper work etc. There may be pay time, but some and most just count hours for graduation. I have not had an internship but do need one to graduate.

4 College Senior

Computers: There are plenty of computers available in the library that you can use. Printing is free and you can go in at any time from 8 am to 12 am.

Facilities: The spiritual life on campus is pretty amazing. There are different worship programs held that most students attend. When I'm at school I feel like I'm home and all my friends are really family. I love the openness of the people here and how accepting they are.

Health & Safety: I never feel unsafe when I'm on PUC's campus. There are campus police patrolling the campus at all times and desk workers in the dorm that you can contact if something goes wrong. I trust the people at the school and have never felt the need to be anxious or worried when at school.

Campus Strictness: Campus police are pretty strict about drinking regardless of whether you are of age or not. The school is affiliated with a christian church so they do not tolerate any drinking or drug use. The dorms are not co-ed and you can not have people of the opposite sex in your room.

Campus Dining: The food itself is pretty good but the options are limited so it is easy to get tired of the food. There is a market where you can buy your own food to cook if you don't want to eat in the cafeteria or the deli.

Facilities: Most of the buildings where classes are held are nice but the dorms are a little bit old.

Diversity: I'd say we are very diverse. Many of us are SDAs but there are also other religions.

Campus Strictness: There is a zero tolerance for alcohol. I am a rule follower so I don't know much else.

Diversity: Our campus embraces diversity, whether it be people of different ethnic backgrounds, academic interests, and economic status. PUC is willing to work with everybody and help all potential and current students succeed. Our school is a Seventh-day Adventist school, but I believe we embrace people of other faiths because it is our opportunity to witness to them.

Majors: No internships. I would like the opportunity to have an internship for experience. This school could use a few more majors like an LVN program for example.

Health & Safety: I have never felt insecure when walking around campus at night. I do go running out at the track by myself at night but I have never felt not safe when I go running. The public safety is always there near by and they are always roaming around to make sure that you are okay. There have been people who have stolen some things but that's because people left their belongings out in the open unprotected for a long periods of time but that is very rare.

Nightlife: This is a christian school and we live in the mountain area kind of on a hill. There are no local bars/club scenes unless you have a car and you go to Napa or to a small local town near by. If you want to do that then you need to have a car. There probably are parties but they are pretty well covered up so that the administration doesn't find out.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: They have everything you need, however it is very pricey. It Everything is close by if you need to go to the store, buy your textbooks or even put gas in your car. However, like I said it's pricey and it's more convenient to go down the hill to St. Helena to get groceries.

5 College Junior

Majors: I didn't necessarily do any intern yet since I am still in college level. However, I had this chance to work for Hospital which is just 10 minutes away from our school (more than 2 years I have been doing this), I worked as a volunteer for Spiritual Care, doing discussions in the recovery center with addicts, non-denominational bible study with anyone at the hospital, and so on. It was a great opportunity and great experience to have. This is a possibility of getting some experience, and other volunteer experinces are also available at the hospital.

4 College Junior

Majors: This program is fairly easy to get in. The only small issue would be to do a lot of writing and reading as the religion major yet taking many science classes at the same time.
