4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The classes were perfect size, just small enough to accurately learn and have the time to ask questions and etc., if needed. With the smaller classes. the teachers are able to help a lot better.

College Junior

Overall Experience: There aren't a whole lot of opportunities like this at a community college.

Academic Flexibility: It was the absolute best. Before attending OCTC, I attended WKU for a semester, I was just mind blown to realize how much better college was when you had the assistance you needed. OCTC START Center helped me and enlightened me on everything I needed. They were so amazing. As well as the women as the TRAC Center, the really aided me in my college path to where I am now.

Student Body: There is huge diversity at our school. However, the student population are not involved with each other so much, especially outside of the classroom. It is as though the students are there to learn and go home, but I guess that's what you get at a community college versus a university.

Academic Experience: There actually is not a program for my major at my current college. I've taken a few related classes, and they were extremely great! I've gotten involved with a lot of the business students and it has been such a joy, all the advisors and professors are just great. But I really can't wait to be at a school with my major, doing what I love.

Academic Experience: It's all great. All of the professors I've encountered have been wonderful and helpful. The curriculum and workload are perfect for all the courses I've taken. The professors are also very good at telling us what if expected and required for the course. Our special study options are very good as well. Everyone is extremely understanding.

Career Services: The entire staff at OCTC was absolutely amazing. They were there to help with anything and everything you could need. The career center explains a lot about future jobs opportunities. We don't have a lot of alumni and such because most everyone graduated from a different college in the end. But the school opens us up to and enlightens us on all our opportunities.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I do not receive financial aid, so if I were to rate it, because I am an inaccurate and an unreliable source for that topic.

Academic Flexibility: I have not had any trouble choosing classes that fit my schedule, so all my classes are very convenient for me, personally. The only thing that had not been very convenient for me is, getting my classes scheduled. My advisor is very difficult to get in touch with, and it's even more difficult getting an appointment with her. She also makes the process of scheduling classes very inconvenient and time consuming.

Overall Experience: Most teachers cover the material very well, and when a student is struggling, they do their best to help. Also, class sizes vary; I have had classes with upwards of forty students, as well as, classes with ten to fifteen students.

College Student

Overall Experience: I do not know of any locations on campus that help specifically with careers and goals; however, Trac Central is very helpful when trying to find scholarships and colleges to transfer to. The most helpful person I have come across when it comes to my education is Mary Kenny.

3 College Student

Academic Experience: There are not any unique aspect of my program, because most people will be transferring for a higher degree.

4 College Student

Academic Experience: The professors are out standing, and they teach the curriculum very well. Most teachers understand that students can be very busy, and most professors do their best to help you in any way possible if you are struggling. However, my advisor is not very easy to get in touch with, and makes the process of scheduling classes very difficult and time consuming.

Online Courses: Online courses are nice to have but know the workload is typically a lot more than your average campus class.

Student Body: The student body at my school is very diverse and pretty friendly.

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed my time at this college, the faculty are very nice and a large majority of my teachers care about the students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is not bad at all, well worth it for a community college.

Campus Resources: The faculty are very helpful, I would suggest going to OCTC.

Student Body: We are very diverse here at OCTC. Especially in age. A lot of us are at different points in our life, and so its hard to really make a solid group of friends. However, I don't think our student body is really here to socialize. We are here to get our credits. So it's not a downfall.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: We have a library on campus with many computer available for use. This has been very helpful for me. Student life isn't huge here, most of us are here to go to class and then go home. Our student center is basically an open room with some tables, chairs, vending machine, and a pool table.

Campus Resources: Like I previously said, computer labs are available for use and are very helpful. We use Blackboard here, which is very easy to navigate. It only sucks when it doesn't want to work.
