4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I took online classes this semester and one face to face class and the teachers are easy to get ahold of through email if i need help.

Facilities: I suppose the thing that makes OCTC unique is the community setting. Since many students are from Daviess county or surrounding counties, there is a home-like feel to the campus. Most of my teachers are from Owensboro so they understand the difficulties this town has and how to work around those bumps in the road. It does make the teachers more likable since we are able to share similar experiences.

Academic Flexibility: Overall, the flexibility with the scheduling has been great. I have a work schedule that is set in stone so I cannot leave work early in order to go to a class. Since I'm only off for a couple days a week, I am able to set my classes around that so I still have enough time to do homework, ask questions, visit my teachers, etc.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I prefer to take online classes compared to in-class options. Personally, the flexibility of being able to do my homework in my jammies compared to having to get out in subzero temperatures is what makes online classes so great for me. Chances are, there will be more work but I do not mind that. The only other con I would have to mention is that there a lack of communication among the professors and students, but most classes do have online forum threads that do keep that line of communication flowing.

Student Body: OCTC does have a wide number of students, but it does lack diversity. I wish that there was more diversity among the students to broaden our learning horizon.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: It depends on what you're majoring in, nursing and engineering are their strongest.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: They are good at transferring.

College Freshman

Online Courses: I am scheduled for an online class so i haven't experienced it yet.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Books are ridiculous but I think that's everywhere. Financial aid was very helpful for me personally.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: It is a community college so things aren't too unique. I think they have good nursing and engineering programs.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: They try to involve students a lot. They're resources are very helpful.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: It's not as good as it could be.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: There are a lot of large age gaps between students and people with diverse social backgrounds. There's several different reasons why people are there so it's hard to relate and communicate sometimes.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Our network is very fast but about once every two weeks it goes down for something. I don't really need my computer because we have many computers that are ready for me to use.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: My school has great resources. All branches of my school has libraries and I'm able to ask someone to help me if I need to print or look something uo for a class.

5 College Sophomore

Career Services: My school has great programs. They've partnered with a four year college I can transfer to, to continue my education and my school helps me with what classes are right for my major.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Most of my student body is a friendly hard working class. They're very friendly but are focused on working towards their careers.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: I took several classes over my load on a couple semesters, but still passed them with very high marks. Getting into classes was very easy.
