3 College Freshman

Athletics: Being part of a club sport, I feel as if we need a bigger turnout to students on campus. Not a lot of students know about them, and I believe we should do more for them to know about it.

3 College Senior

Athletics: boys basketball is really important at our school

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics at Oregon Tech has undergone an incident and good recovery in the past decade. Our football team was in bad losing streak and when the team won their first (insignificant) game in a long while the team members acted without discretion and the whole campus suffered. Sports were banned for a long time but now we have added cross-country running, softball, soccer and basketball back to the campus sports selection. Our teams performances vary depending on the sport but for our athletes it is more about bringing the campus esteem and improving their performance as individuals and as a team on and off the court. Parents, locals and students recognize this and our fan support is great. The bleachers aren't always packed out but we have a lot of supporters. School spirit is mostly carried by the students, but a few parents participate. It's been a long time since I saw students get so excited about their team. The previous football incident did negatively effect the athletics scene for a while but we as students have learned from it and now make more of an effort to act with integrity on and off the court and campus so we can regain the respect we lost a long time ago.

3 College Junior

Athletics: As far as I have seen, sports are not the main focus of this school, but are still somewhat supported. There are not huge rallies or promos for games and players, but students are acknowledged for their involvement in sports by instructors and other classmates.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: I've been to one game so far. The women basketball team is amazing. They won the last game agains Corban University. Same with the guys team!!!
