Tuition & Financial Aid: I did my finacial aid in a timely fashion and had no problems. with such experienced educators as we have, you would expect tuition to be higher. getting more bang for my bucks!!:-)

Student Body: I believe that my school has a variety of different people. From high school grads, to continuing ed's, to those who just want to further their education--full-time and part-time workers. We even have a football team!!!!(and cheerleaders!!)

Tuition & Financial Aid: Very Affordable – The education that is received at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College is definitely worth the money that students pay for. This is exactly why I decided to go back for a second degree upon graduation of my first curriculum. Financial Aid assists with many of the occurring fees at OC-Tech and the balance left is very affordable. However, there are some instances where students have to pay completely out of pocket, and they still are able to see that their education was worth every cent in the end.

Online Courses: Easy Access – Many people fear online courses when signing up for them during the registration period. However, these turn out to be some of the most rewarding courses throughout the academic year. The students are able to easily access their teacher, each group (class) member, and their assignments if they decide to work ahead.Time management skills are the biggest issue when taking online courses. Once a student gets in the routine of checking their Campus Cruiser emails, announcements, and assignments, life becomes easier as an online student.

Overall Experience: Exceptional Technical College – Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College is a great 2 year institution and they encourage their students to be the very best at whatever profession they choose to pursue. The teachers and advisors work with each student to make sure that they are receiving the best education there is to offer and they make sure the students value the education that they are to receive. I have received one degree while in attendance at OC-Tech and I am now working on degree number two. If students do their work, then they learn to appreciate their education. Make no mistake of the education that students are receiving at this 2 year institution. The teachers are firm and the education is rewarding.

Overall Experience: Love the School – I am so glad that I decided to attend this school. I couldn't be any happier.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Very Diverse – I have never had any trouble out of any students. Everyone is very nice and helpful.

Online Courses: Online Course – The online course is ok. The communication between the teacher and students are not all that grade. But it's user friendly.

Academic Experience: For a Two Year College – I cannot major at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College but for a two year college I love it. The classes are interesting and the professor's work with us to help us understand. This summer I have an opportunity to apply for an enrichment program at the TRMC Hospital located next to the college.

Career Services: Wonderful Leadership – The staff, career center and job prospects are EXCELLENT at this school. They have done everything possible to make my career a smooth ride.

Campus Resources: Very Friendly – This school is very student orriented. They do everything they can to ensure that your education goals are met and you get the counseling and advising you need to succeed. I really enjoy their on-line classes as well.

Campus Resources: Octech Is the BEST! I am still new at OC Tech but I would reccommend this school to anyone who needs to add skills for their job or just wants a fresh start. The school is so accessible and won't waste your time.

Overall Experience: Happy With College Choice – OCTech is a decent school. I'm mostly here for an education and that's pretty much it. I'm actually attending on a two-year University Transfer to the University of South Carolina, so I won't be here for very long, but I might as well get used to the setting.

Career Services: I haven't experience the career service yet, but I've heard they do help you find a job. They're always post jobs on the school website and if you don't have a job or looking for a better job you can go to the student career service center and they will help you get started.

Campus Resources: The resources on campus are pretty good. The auditorium is big and comfortable. There's plenty of help and different resources in the library. There's different campus activities if you have time for that kind of stuff.

Academic Flexibility: The reason I chose this school was because they have a great nursing program and the fexibility of the class schedules. I am able to attend school in the morning and be home with my family at night.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: My Education – I enjoy attending OCTech because they makes me feel comfortable. They also are all about making sure you get an excellent education by offering different types of assistance such as a program call trio. That program has excellent benefits and the counselor or marvelous. I would choose this school again because like I stated earlier its convenient and they are very supportive.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: From High School Grads to Mid-Life Peers – Occasionally, my school will throw in a loud, obnoxious student in campus-based classrooms, but it is very rare. Most students seem devoted to their work and the course, but don't like to socialize that often. There is, however, a lot of communication between students and professors. Ethnicity is diversified as well, a mixture of almost every culture and although everyone appears opinionated, most OCTech students are reserved and sincere in their political, religious, and/or sexual views, allowing any course with these controversial issues to progress onwards without interruptions, which is very favorable.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: Have a Planner Ready – Last semester, I took up two online courses, but this semester, I chose three. At first, I felt as if I could handle the workload, and as it turns out, I can. I just need to have all of my schedules planned out and ready for me. I feel as if it is somewhat more convenient to be enrolled in online courses because OCTech is trying to move their strict offline courses to somewhat online and having a basic knowledge of how the online websites work (due to online courses), helps students navigate their website with ease.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Curriculum Varies – Depending on whether a person takes an internet-based or campus-based class, can one truly see how the curriculum goes. Most courses involve rigorous work, but some are a bit flighty, such as one internet-based Criminal Justice course I am taking currently. Lectures in this course are self given. One will have to read four or so chapters before taking a test on the particular chapters at the end of the month. This is annoying and bothersome, because there isn't really much help in applying what one has read/learned in these chapters and not much information is given for what will be on the tests.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Easy to Find – Everything is pretty close to each other.Small college

Tuition & Financial Aid: The advisors and financial aid advisors at OC Tech have been very helpful in guiding me in the direction needed for me to fulfill my goal in the nursing field. I wish there were more financial help available for women over 50 and I feel I should have the advantages of being a minority. I am a white/caucasian female over 50 going back to school to further my education and I have been told I am not considered a minority. I do not agree
