4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Although I've never used the student health services, I hear they are mediocre.

Security is helpful.

Overall pretty great.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Security wouldn't do much, but it's a safe campus

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: ORU is extremely safe. It's in a safe part of Tulsa, and there is little alcohol to mix thing sup. Crime or assault on campus is zero to none.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: They make sure we're safe

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel safer on campus than anywhere else in the city. I feel secure enough to walk to the student center at midnight to grab a soda without anything happening. I have yet to see any violent interactions between students or any visible presence of drug or alcohol use on campus.

Most students say they feel very secure on the ORU campus, as they should in a Christian, Bible-following atmosphere. There are not many reports at all of theft or any other crimes, really. And if anything remotely malevolent happens, it almost always stems from a group of students just looking for an adventure, which leads to somebody accidentally getting hurt in the process.

Public Safety officers are seen at least once on almost any trip to anywhere on campus. In fact, so little happens on campus in the way of crime that it seems like some members of the security force get so bored that they keep themselves busy by looking for cars parked in the wrong lots so they can write tickets.
