4 College Sophomore

Computers: Pretty great - wireless is much better now. Lots of labs too if you know where to find them.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Pretty great! Profs. are awesome and classes are great!

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: ORU students can't live off campus unless they are married or old (25+) or live with their parents. Most students wish they could live off campus because it would cost less.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Lots of great aid if you qualify (gpa, etc.) for "whole person" or honors.

2 College Sophomore

Weather: TOO hot in the summer! And there's tornadoes! And it's humid and muggy a lot in the summer too. Winter isn't bad - sometimes there's even snow days!

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Very strict but many come to ORU for that reason. If you want to party in college, go somewhere else. ORU's all 'bout that Honor Code.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Pretty great! Lots of diversity and range of prices. Something for everyone.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The aerobic center is pretty great but it's kinda far from the dorms. Being physically active is a huge part of ORU life.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: No Greek life at ORU. Floors and their appropriate brother/sister wing do provide some great social opportunities though.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Bus stop out in front of school and some students utilize taxis which will pick up in upper lot. Transportation from airport and bus station are provided around break times and to certain school activities, but mostly it's provide your own.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Tulsa is pretty great if you love the midwest life, but it's not really my thing. Not much happens after about 10pm.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: Very diverse -- lots of international students and students from lots of different backgrounds. Most students are very welcoming and accepting of diversity.

1 College Sophomore

Nightlife: No nightlife unless you include hanging with your friends in your room watching netflix. Some people go off campus but because of the strictness it has no nightlife.

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drugs and alcohol are forbidden with the Honor Code, although some students still partake of them. But most don't. Students know how to have good, clean fun at ORU.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Overall pretty great, although it would be awesome if upperclassmen could live off campus to save some $$. Housing is expensive!

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Although I've never used the student health services, I hear they are mediocre.

Security is helpful.

Overall pretty great.

College Junior

Greek Life: We do not have "Greek" life

4 College Junior

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: It's not home, but it's close to it

3 College Junior

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: If you don't want it you probably can't find it.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: We have a good time and remember it.

3 College Junior

Parking: Plenty off parking, but not close enough to dorm

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: It has changed my life for better

Nearly everyone at ORU said that if they had to make their college decision all over again, they would still choose this university. Students give high marks to the strong Christian community here, and say that the professors and students are approachable, kind, and helpful. Another positive is the size of the school—it’s easy enough to get personal attention from the teachers, but the school is still large enough that you’ll regularly be able to meet lots of new, unique people.

Overall, Oral Roberts University is a great place for anyone who has a strong desire to become spiritually awake, intellectually alert, physically disciplined, professionally competent, and socially adept!
