Facts & Statistics

Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • Choose a major by your second year. If not, you'll get behind in classes and end up taking random electives.
  • Don't let counselors bully you into taking classes. Depending on your major, a lot of counselors will choose classes for you during PREVIEW. Don't let that happen, or you might end up with a terrible schedule and get off to a bad start.
  • Talk to you professors if you have late papers. Most of them will allow you to turn them in anyway.
  • You don't need to go to Freshman Orientation or the first part of PREVIEW, even though they say it is mandatory. It isn't. And you don't have to stay overnight if you're not planning on living in the dorms.
