2 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Lots of gay guys, lots of straight girls. Barely anything else.

3 College Junior

Facilities: Depends widely on which building. There are very old buildings that need updated, and there are new buildings with amazing facilities.

5 College Junior

Diversity: So many different kinds of people here, which you wouldn't expect. It's great.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Banning has large rooms with lots of closet and storage space. It's quiet, not a lot of social atmosphere, but it's the best dorm for standard housing.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: OCU is not in the best part of town, but it is only a short drive from downtown where it's really nice and there is a lot of fun stuff to do.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: If you live in Banning, you can basically do whatever you want, as long as you keep your room clean and free of drugs or anything like that.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: I don't pay anything. I'm National Merit. :)

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: OCU is very safe. We have our own police force, security poles everywhere, and procedures in place for every kind of emergency. The only thing is that we are situated in a notoriously bad part of town. Normally that sort of thing doesn't wander over to campus, but there have been some small incidents with unsavory people wandering over here. Nothing major.

Greek Life: Greek life is super annoying.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Professors here are the greatest. Class sizes are always small (I think the largest class I had was 25? I've even had a class with 5 people!) and the professors always get to know you. Honors courses are difficult but rewarding.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Not a lot of job recruitment going on, but I haven't been looking at that anyway.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: I've never even been to a party here.

2 College Junior

Athletics: No one cares about sports except if you're a rower.

4 College Junior

Majors: I didn't have any trouble getting into the cell and molecular bio program. There really aren't any special criteria for admission other than the general application. Beware, however, this is the toughest major at the school and they are gonna make you work for your degree.

4 College Junior

Majors: I'm a science major, and we don't get a lot of recognition on campus, but it's a really great community here between professors and students. You get to know everyone really fast, because you're all in the same classes. The professors are great, they really care about their students. By the end of your first year you will know everyone in the science department!

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: So many great places in Asian district, which is like a block away.

5 College Senior

Majors: I love my major! The program is like a conservatory program, but in a liberal arts school. They try and help you get an agent after college. It's the most supportive and best major.

College Senior

Majors: I have not had an internship yet

5 College Senior

Diversity: We have people from all ethnicities and sexual orientations. And the campus and student body are so accepting of all diversity

5 College Senior

Greek Life: We have a very supportive greek system. Our greek average are always higher than the all mens/womens averages. The greek system does a lot of communtiy work and are positive forces on campus.

5 College Senior

Campus Dining: We have both a cafeteria and a cafe. The cafe is open pretty much all day. It's all pretty good food. The cafe has better quality food though.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: The Strictness is basically what it should be morally. I don't know what else to say beyond that.

5 College Senior

Health & Safety: We have seminars each year on preventing sexual assault and alcohol abuse. We are a tobacco and alcohol free campus. The campus is very safe.

5 College Senior

Academics: I'm a music Theatre major, and there is so much support. The workload is manageable, the curriculum and facilities are amazing, we have over 300 steinway pianos. It's one of the best music and music theatre schools in the country.

5 College Senior

Academics: We have great professors and great curriculum. Nothing is unobtainable. Plus the student to teacher ratio is amazing. You'll have a history class with 20 other people.
