3 College Junior

Greek Life: The Greeks have a good reputation on campus.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The rules for safety and prevention of drug use are good.

4 College Junior

Majors: Rules are sometimes overly strict, but it is a good program (dance). I am very concerned about finding a job in the dance world. I'm going to have to be creative and look for jobs "out of the box".

4 College Junior

Majors: I am in a dance program, and admission was by audition. The process was good. I attended a dance intensive at the school the summer before I auditioned, and I think that is a really good tip to pass along. It helps because it gives the faculty a chance to get to know you better than they would through a short audition.

3 College Junior

Diversity: Students are from all over.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Just wish I could have gotten more aid.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Depends on the dorm you are in - some are better than others.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The police presence on campus is really good and there are emergency call boxes everywhere.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: It is fairly easy to find not to expensive housing off campus in a walking distance from school.

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: It is a very friendly city, people are very nice, but there is not too much going on... cultural events are not that common.

4 College Senior

Diversity: The community on the campus is very diverse; there is no discrimination toward LGBT students.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: The food at the cafe is good and varied but the hours are not very convenient.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are few nice spots in a walking distance from school at cost friendly to students who get student discounts at some of those places.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: it is tobacco and alcohol free campus; the school policies are very strict regarding use of tobacco and alcohol, as well as drugs. It positively effects students safety and social life.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Our campus is a tobacco and alcohol free campus. Our university police department as well as faculty do a great job to provide a safe environment to the students.

3 College Senior

Athletics: I do not participate in the athletics life at my school. However, the athletics are very supported by school and students, the team spirit is cultivated and the athletic performance is great.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I have had nothing but positive experiences with campus security, but I'm not under 21, and I don't live in the dorms, or I might feel differently. From what I've seen they keep the campus safe.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Oklahoma City can be a lot of fun. The people are friendly and there are quite a few spots for nightlife. Again you need a car to get anywhere, so you really can't go out and drink somewhere without a designated driver.

2 College Freshman

Weather: Oklahoma weather sucks. Point blank. It's too hot, too cold, or too windy most of the time. Spring brings storms, and if you're not used to them, they can be pretty scary. Living here all my life though, if you take the necessary precautions, everything is okay. October is usually beautiful.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Faculty really care about you as an individual and the small class sizes guarantee that you can get the specific attention you need. All of the teachers I have had a very good at what they do in their own field, and it really is a privilege to learn from them.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few Vietnamese restaurants in the area that are great, and some other ethnic options. Just like most things in Oklahoma City, you really need a car to have a variety of options. With a car, you're no too far from some great districts like the Paseo or Downtown.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I don't live in campus housing but have seen it. The buildings are clean and are sufficient for students. The thing that is great about the dorms at Oklahoma City University is the proximity to campus. There is not much of a walk at all to campus.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I really don't have much experience with seeing any drug use on campus. I don't live in the dorms and I don't see any drug use in classrooms or any evidence of drug use with the people I come in contact with. I always feel safe on campus and assume that there is not much of a drug culture, but I could be totally wrong.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I live in a suburb of Oklahoma City and love it, and the cost of living in the area isn't bad at all. Everything is extremely spread out in Oklahoma City, though, so you absolutely have to have a car if you are going to live off campus. You can find an affordable house to rent without a problem if you have room mates.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Diversity in regards to race needs improvements.
