Campus Housing: Decent Housing – Not bad dorms. North campus is nice because you get your own bathroom among you and your roommates. South is great if you have trouble meeting people because they are mostly communal baths and your doors will stay open more often. Many of the dorms are older and have their issues but for the most part OSU is like a mini city in itself and you can get anywhere and buy anything you need.

Facilities: Best of the Best – Ohio State has the best of the best. Thompson library has recently been completely re-done. The RPAC is like the biggest recreation facility in the country. We have 3 Olympic size pools, a rock climbing wall, ice skating. You name it, we have it.

Campus Housing: Be Prepared to Walk – There are a ton of dorms on campus, all around campus. But the campus is also huge so no matter what you are going to have to walk a little. If you want a dorm with lots of roommates, you should opt for something like the Morril Tower where you can have 8 roommates. Some dorms have 4 people, some have 2. Whatever you want they have. Dorms are average. Maintenance staff is pretty good for having so much to do. Be careful because different dorms cost different amounts. Move in day can be hectic with the parking situations.

Diversity: Lot's of International Students – There are a lot of white students that attend here. However, Ohio State is huge and attracts students from all over the world. I've met students from all different countries. The international chinese population seems to be pretty big.

Academics: Wide Variety – There is a huge variety in the classes you can take, from tae kwon do to multivariable calculus, you really can do anything you want. Most of my professors have been really kind and I have learned a lot.

4 College Junior

Academics: City and Regional Planning – City and Regional Planning at OSU is awesome. There is a lot of flexibility in the classes you take so you can really focus on what you want to learn. In addition to that the advisers are really great and help you achieve what you want to. The internship office is a little less effective and you are really left on your own a little, but if you are willing to press for help you will get it.

Campus Housing: Housing Is Ok – Campus housing is pretty expensive, but the benefits are pretty good. North Campus is more luxurious with air conditioning, showers in the rooms etc. South Campus is a little more party focused, and usually has no air-conditioning. So the experience you want can be chosen by where you live.

Greek Life: Never Been Involved – Greek life has a relatively small effect on campus life. I know a couple people involved, but it definitely does not run the school. There are plenty of opportunities besides greek life to get involved.

4 College Junior

Transportation: The on and off campus busses run frequently and are paid for by the fees as part of going to school so you just swipe your id and ride for free on the city bus.

Athletics: Ubran Meyer!! He is our new football coach and that pretty much sums it up...

Overall Experience: Greek Life – I immediately became involved in Greek Life at OSU when I was a freshman. Doing so, it made the school full of 60,000 students feel much smaller and more comfortable. I know many more people now than I ever would've outside of Greek Life.

Facilities: The Student Union – Just recently, Ohio State has completely remodeled and built the new student union. Everything you can imagine can be found within this facilty. From food to club meetings to a dance studio, a student can find almost everything needed here.

5 College Junior

Facilities: Health and Fitness – Ohio State offers many programs and facilities that helps to provide students with the opportunity to stay healthy and fit. Facilities such as the RPAC and the Jesse Owens are prime examples of this. Within the RPAC, the facility provides free group fitness classes along with healthy choices for food.

Campus Strictness: Honor Code – Ohio State takes pride in their students honoring the honor code and what it represents. If a professor even suspects a student plagerizing or cheating is involved, you are immediately reported to the university and there will be immediate action.

College Sophomore

Academics: I have not actually gotten into my major yet but the prerequisites for my major can be challenging and the workload can be a bit much at sometimes but if you set aside the time to study and do your homework, you will be fine.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: High Expectations – The professors are willing to help you if you are willing to ask them. The science classes can be difficult but they are worth it if you are willing to work at it. Professors and students are always encouraing underclassmen to ask for help if they need it.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Not That Bad – If you do something really bad, you will get punished severely but if it is something slight, then they could let you off with a warning.

2 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I really dont go out as often. but i do it is off campus. I dont know any of my friends getting into trouble or anything like that.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The girls and guys at my school are dope! They know how to have fun and work hard at the same time.

3 College Junior

Weather: Decent for Now – The weather in Ohio is decent i have only been here for a few months so I havent really gotten to much info.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Not Too Bad – While there are not too many places to park without a permit, the Ohio state university provides a lot of places where you can pay and park that are in good locations relative to the popular parts of campus. The parking can get very tricky during game days though.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking permits cost a lot and can cost up to $500. The biggest problem is traffic and construction on campus. Be sure to get on campus within 30 minutes of your class in order to be on time.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Walk or Bus – In order to get to class on time, you should probably not use your own car (unless you are commuting of course). If you are in walking distance or can easily access the COTA bus system, you should probably just walk or use the bus. Being an OSU student gets you free access to COTA and CABS, the bus systems for columbus and campus. Using your own car can be a hassle because parking permits cost so much and parking is somewhat limited and you have to go around so much traffic and it's just not worth it.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: So Far..Not So Good – So far I have only taken a few classes, and most of those were chemistry classes. I feel like the entire chemistry department is out to make students fail or to switch their majors. I understand some difficulty, but there is a distinct line between difficult and outrageously difficult to the point of tears.

Athletics: Tradition Is Everything – The Ohio State University has one of the top athletics programs in the nation. On game days the whole campus is buzzing with excitement. Attendence at every athletic event is tremendous. There is nothing quite like it.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
