3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The strictness is mostly around drug usage on campus, it seems. We have had some trouble with burglary here and there, but nothing too serious. Alcohol and drug rules are of course more strict in on-campus housing, such as within the dorms.

Weather: The weather is up and down all the time. It can be sunny in the morning, snowing my noon, and raining by night. You can never guess, the weather is so unpredictable. And even though the snow may be really really bad, classes are rarely cancelled at OSU.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: There's always something to do on campus. There are more than 900 student organizations on campus that you can get involved with, including the Quidditch team! I wish there were more things to do outside of campus though.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Ohio State is constantly renovating the campus and its buildings. I have never seen Ohio State without some form of construction going on. Though some facilities are great, some buildings are literally falling apart on the inside. It's a balance between old and new buildings. One of my classes were cancelled for a while because the inside of the class apparently flooded when the ceiling began leaking and burst open.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The ATI branch has what they call "ffreshman foregiveness." If you fail a class, you have to retake it the next year and they will "forgive" the worse grade and it will be dropped from records. Campus is fairly strict about curfrews.

Campus Dining: Again, I am at the Wooster branch of OSU. They only have a cafe that provides breakfast and lunch. I chose not to get the meal plan because it was a waste of my money since they don't offer dinner.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I don't attend main campus OSU. I am at the ATI branch. This is a much small campus in Wooster, OH and much closer knit college community. Other than alcohol, I have not noticed drug use.

Guys & Girls: Every white person looks the same and every Asian looks the same. I thought by attending such a large diversity, there would obviously be a diverse population, but the white guys and girls all are in Greek Life and wear the exact same clothing and party the same way. No one interacts with the Asians, the Asians don't interact with us. There is a very little amount of black people. I wish at a campus with 60,000 students I was experiencing more cultural interactions!

Guys & Girls: I feel like the guys and girls at OSU are pretty diverse. The school is so big that its hard to say that all the guys are one way and all the girls are another way. There is someone for everyone and its easy to make friends. OSU has a pretty good looking crowd of people and you can find just about every kind of person here

Majors: I love the international studies program at OSU. There is such a large selection of classes you can take for your particular submajor and I actually like the fact that they require at least a minor in a language if you're planning on majoring in International Studies. The range of classes are very diverse.

Weather: Since I've lived in Ohio all of my life, I'm pretty used to the weather, but in all honesty, it's not that great. It can change drastically from day to day. It will be sunny and 60 one day and snowy/rainy and 30 the next day. It will also do this from hour to hour; no kidding. There are definitely a lot of places with better weather.

Majors: Personally, getting into the business school was very easy. I applied and was accepted into the honors program, therefore I was directly admitted into the business school. For non-honors students and non "Fisher Direct" (students, including some non-honors, directly admitted into business school), they have to apply to get into the business school. I don't think it's very difficult to do or get in, but I definitely like how I didn't have to apply. The honors program was a fairly easy process, even though it was much more extensive than getting into the university itself. Way more essays and time commitment, but definitely worth every second.

Transportation: The transportation is amazing because it gets me around Columbus with no hassle, I do not even need a car to go to this school! The CABS bus service runs at great hours that allow us students to get to class or anywhere easily whether it be through CABS or the Columbus Transit busline

Local Atmosphere: The city of Columbus is an exciting place to live! There's a variety of events happening and always something to do. Additionally, the university has a discount tickets program that makes it easy for students to participate in many of these occurrences, even on a limited college budget.

Majors: It is fairly simple to get into my program. As long as you are active, achieve good grades, and stay determined you should get in.

4 College Freshman

Majors: My career goal is to work for one of the many government agencies after I graduate from Ohio State. I feel that I will be able to find a job becaus eof the growing field.

4 College Junior

Parking: As long as you are not a freshman, there shouldn't be a problem with parking. Costs of permit is reasonable, and there are plenty spots including campus garage.

1 College Junior

Weather: For past 4 years, none of my classes got ever cancelled, even when there were snow storm and hurricane.

5 College Junior

Athletics: Ohio State is known for athletics, especially for football. We won every game in 2012. Support is at max. RPAC, the athletic facility is the best in U.S.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: The RPAC is the best athletic center in the United States. Whatever you want to do, there is.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Ohio State has everything you could ever ask for. Everything from career services to programs and events networking with professionals and graduates. There are also many clubs that can help with finding a career or co-op.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: The drug scene is definitely available if you want to be in it. There really isn't much peer pressure. There is a lot of drinking though and its definitely easy to find a party.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
