Majors: I am currently in student teaching and will spend a lot more time in student teaching in the future with my major. It has been a great experience through my program. There are many opportunities to find internships and jobs through the school.

Campus Housing: The school is currently in the process of building and remodleing the dorms. The location is great but like at all schools it is crazy high. There is a lot to choose from in food but it is also very expensive.

Transportation: The school buses can be tracked on the school app. Public buses are free with a school id.

Parking: Most on campus parking is kind of far from classes and it is easier to take a bus. Off campus parking is hard to find on weekends but permit areas are cheep. Housing offered by the housing companies varies from free to hundreds of dollars.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There is a good amount of frat life on campus but most parties and activities are the average student.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Ohio State is constantly building and improving, We have more libraries than I can count and top of the line rec facilities.

2 College Junior

Weather: It is Ohio. You will use your air and heat in the same day.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: There are a lot of bars some have cover charges but not all.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There is a lot to do and see around campus. It is a great area for outdoor activities.

3 College Junior

Computers: They tell us that we have so many free prints per student but I have never found a place where prints cost me nothing. For the most part unless you are in certain majors you pay. The internet has been known to have many issues around campus but wireless is accessible everywhere.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: The police are a visible presence but they don't get involved in parties unless they are getting out of hand. I never feel unsafe walking home at night. It is also great knowing that campus police and local police are working together.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The strictness of the University is not consistent. As long as one is smart about what they are doing, than nothing happens.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: most students have their own computer but their are plenty of available labs around campus

2 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: meal plans are convenient for eating on campus, otherwise the food is expensive

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There are ample opportunities to feel safe even at night. OSU constantly works to make campus safer.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: There is a lot of options for parking all in good locations. The rules are very strict and cost can be high depending on the day.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
