Facilities: Great Campus Buildings – Of course there are some older, less nice buildings but for the most part the buildings, including residence halls, classrooms, libraries, and dining places, are all really nice and kept clean.

Diversity: Diversity isn't very important to me. I actually don't often support it because I know minorities with worse grades than me are getting more scholarships from Ohio State to attend JUST so Ohio State can look better from the outside and appear to be more diverse and tolerant. Don't get me wrong, I'm not racist or anything, I just see it as unfair that diversity causes people with lower grades to receive more scholarship money than students who are part of the majority and have higher grades.

Greek Life: The greek life is pretty small at Ohio State. They have great social functions and I know they do many fundraising activities for charities. Other than that, I don't know too much about greek life. Us non-greeks usually don't like to associate with many girls from sororities because they are all basically clones of each other. The guys in the fraternities aren't as bad, however there are a lot of egotistical jerks that make up some of the fraternities.

Campus Housing: Campus housing at Osu Newark was spacious and very convenient.

Greek Life: I really don't know. I heard rumors that they throw great parties

Diversity: People from all walks of life are located on this campus. People I have never seen before are on this campus and there are so many asians and other races I never even had a clue existed.

Health & Safety: campus usually well lit at night, barely any probs

Weather: The weather in Ohio is unpredictable. One day it can be very hot while the next day it can be freezing. It is not very consistent. this makes walking across campus difficult at times because campus is so big. especially when it snows, walking is terrible.

Campus Dining: Campus food is not bad at all. It depends on where you go. Either way, Nothing is too terrible and some places are very good. With a meal plan, you do not have to look at the price, but without a meal plan, Dining halls are in the expensive side. They are not worth it if you do not have a meal plan.

Transportation: The campus bus service is consistent and easy. Busses run on a consistent schedule so you are never waiting too long. They usually are not too crowded. The stops are located all around campus which makes the buses very convenient for almost every location. Late at night, there is not much transportation. I believe there is a number to call for an escort which is not very convenient. Otherwise, campus transportation is good.

Transportation: On campus and off campus buses are free so its just a matter of getting to the bus stop. Off campus buses (COTA) are always late so plan for that. On campus buses (CABS) are great and comfortable for the most part. At peak hours they're super crowded but come often. Only downside is they don't run very late on the weekends.

Athletics: There's so much school spirit and its amazing. Coming from a small high school with sub-par sports its nice to root for the winning team.

Nightlife: Ther'es always something to do and people to hang out with

Facilities: Ohio State always has plenty to do. There is something for everyone, you just have to go find it. There are thousands of students clubs and organizations. There are great libraries and gyms, and even an outdoor center with a rockwall. Really Ohio State has some of the best facilities in the country.

Parking: There is always a spot for everyone, but chances are it may be super far away from where you need to go. Buses are always running though.

Local Atmosphere: Columbus is a huge city! There is always something to do on campus, or even just off campus so you don't even need to go into Columbus, but of course it is lots of fun and the city is full of interesting things to do.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Transportation is good, and almost always available. The only problem is that there could be more. There are so many people at OSU so it makes buses very crowded.

Drug Safety: There are A LOT of parties, but also a lot of police enforcement (especially during football season).

Off-Campus Housing: DANGER DANGER...if you are a female it can be pretty scary living off-campus. Keep your pepper spray handy.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many options just around the area of Grandview and UA that are unique to the area, but there are also chains if you like to play it safe. All you need is a friend with a car!

Majors: Great attention given to each student in my program.

Local Atmosphere: On the Columbus campus it is like one big melting pot and you can meet all kinds of people in just a short stay.

Nightlife: Like most colleges at night, you can find multiple parties going on, some drunk people, maybe even a fight, but for the most part people are just happy and respectful.

Computers: OSU does pay to print, so printing anywhere is a hassle. Most places to print require that you have money on your BuckID to swipe and pay, but the Union takes cash, credit, or your BuckID. Most of the time people are on a computer printing or looking something up, but usually students have their own laptops and are using the computer for a quick print.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
