Computers: There are plenty of areas for access to computers or printers. There's easy access but it is suggested for all students to have their own computers because of the largeness of the student life.

Majors: There are very many internship opportunities and each student is highly encouraged to apply for an internship sometime during their undergraduate years of college, especially if they would like a nicer job after graduation.

Majors: The program I'm in now is very good, but I will be changing my program and it is still one of the better programs in the nation.

Campus Strictness: The campus is generally strict about certain things, but it is easy for students to have access to alcohol, yet it's not a growing problem at all.

Campus Housing: The housing is a very easy process and the community is always great. The university does a good job in trying to accommodate to the proximity of dorms to classes even at different areas of campus.

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is really great as the university is very close to the downtown city. Students get free bus transportation so there's plenty to do on campus as well as off.

4 College Student

Greek Life: Greek life is generally popular, but there is such a large amount of people that the university is not filled with merely greek life people. It's easy to get into greek life and people generally do not regret their decisions.

Overall Experience: I'm just getting started, but I love my school. I wasn't really sure what to expect when coming here, but my expectations have been met and then even more. I love the community and the ability to chose to be yourself without too much peer pressure. The academics are great and the school spirit even more so.

Off-Campus Housing: There are several options for off-campus housing and the websites give plenty of variety. The houses are pretty average, but very well kept.

5 College Student

Athletics: School spirit is very important to our university and athletic sports are a huge deal here. Especially when it comes around to football and basketball season, people are very much involved.

4 College Student

Health & Safety: Generally, the campus is a pretty safe environment, but it still wouldn't be smart to be walking alone at late night hours.

3 College Student

Drug Safety: Many people can get caught up in the peer pressure of drinking or using drugs, but that doesn't mean that you can't have a social life on campus.

5 College Student

Facilities: So many people get involved with the many facilities. The main library is huge, yet there are also other libraries available for studying. The athletic centers are very well kept and the main work out facility is about 5 stories. Student life is very important and so many people cherish the traditions and activities held at the university.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
