4 College Sophomore

Diversity: The campus is very diverse. I have met so many people that are from so many different places, and that have different religious and ethnic backgrounds and I think it is very neat.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: campus transportation is great if you are a student since it is free, but sometimes it is faster just to walk places

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I love being involved in Greek Life on campus. I feel like it really helped me to get more involved on campus. I love how every fraternity and sorority is involved in giving back to the community and community service. It is a lot of fun and it has helped me o set higher standards for myself!

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I am not too far into major specific classes yet since I am only a second year, but I know they have great resources and everyone seems to love the professors at OSU

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The university sets high standards for its students. The professors make sure to challenge you, but they help you as much as you need to. There are a lot of clubs around campus that go hand in hand with your majors and there are a lot of clubs that you could get into if you had good grades.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There are police around, but I don't see them a lot. If you feel unsafe walking somewhere you could always call them though and they will take you

Nightlife: I don't like to party, but I hear about parties all of the time since I am in a sorority. If you look for a party you will find one, its not too hard.

Overall Experience: I love my school. It has a great atmosphere and has given me so many opportunities that I would not have had if I would have went to a smaller university.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of places to eat off campus, a lot are open late into the night so you can always find something to eat

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Sometimes I feel ripped off when I pay 6 dollars for a half gallon of milk and things like that. But in general they have a lot of choices which is good

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I think the rules that are set on campus are fair. The police also is very flexible and helps take us places if we ask if we feel uncomfortable

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There are a lot of homeless people and criminals that seem to be around the outskirts of campus which make it sometimes uncomfortable to walk around, especially by yourself. But there is always something to do and there is always a lot of shops and restraunts to go to

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is ok, there are a lot of places to live and fill up quickly. The prices sometimes seem way too high for how far away it is from campus or how little it offers. over all though it is decent

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The computers aren't bad, but get full quickly

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
