Campus Strictness: There are no visitation rules for the dorms at all

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are a lot of bars and clubs within walking distance of campus and some downtown too

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: A lot of off campus restaurants deliver, and are open late

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There is delivery, a fancy restaurant, and a lot of casual restaurants that take your meal plan, so there are tons of options

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Buses are free but taxis aren't that easy to find.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Going to Ohio State is amazing because everyone has a lot of school spirit

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The bathrooms are nice and rooms come with fridges and microwaves

3 College Freshman

Weather: It gets cold in the winter

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Only 10% of students are involved in Greek life, and Greek students get along with non Greek students

Nightlife: There are plenty of bars and parties that you can go to any night of the week. The weekends will always have a party especially on the game days, but even on weekends without a game or away games people will still party and get together. Sunday football is a big thing no matter where you are and the bars are usually crowded.

Diversity: The acceptance here is some of the best I have ever seen. I came from a town where everyone was typically the same and now I have friends who were born in other countries and in my really close friends only two of us are even the same race. There are so many people here that you are going to find people here to fit in with. With that being said you are also bound to find someone who doesn't like you, but the number of people who do will greatly outnumber the one who doesn't.

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere is absolutely amazing. I came from a small farm town and now I live in the biggest city. This city has so much to offer and I really don't even have to leave my campus. Most of what I need is in walking distance and if not I can take a free bus ride to wherever in Columbus I need to go. I couldn't imagine a small town college.

Campus Dining: The campus dining options are good but the dining halls are vary in their quality. For example, the one closes to me is probably the worst one on campus so if I want to eat at a dining hall I have to walk across campus or take a bus to the other dining halls so I can enjoy better food. Not to say I won't eat at the one by me, I just prefer the other ones because they are better quality.

Greek Life: There are a lot of different fraternities but very few sororities. So it is easier to get in if you are a guy than if you're a girl. We have a lot of people on campus which also make it hard to get in but that is just because we are such a big school. The housing is off campus chapter houses and they are really nice houses but some of them are older looking on the outside, though they have all been updated on the inside.

Campus Housing: The dorms are not the same even though the prices are. The dorms on one side of campus are nice and updated and have all new amenities but on the side I live on they are old and have not been updated in years. Despite this they are the exact same price and I had to suffer with the drafty dorm that was built in 1964 instead of 2012.

Facilities: Every aspect of campus is beautiful. The library has to be the most outstanding though. It has eleven floors and overlooks a huge green field known as the Oval where people go to study, play Frisbee, and run. Second to the library has to be the RPAC. Inside you can workout, eat, or just study. There is also the Student Wellness Center inside where you can go to get a healthy diet plan or even talk about financial help.

Facilities: My school is set apart by many things but it has to be best known for its amazing athletics and social life. Our football team just went undefeated for its second year in a row. Game days are the best days. Everyone is a friend and you can hear the stadium from every corner of campus. Even when there isn't a game the people here are incredibly nice and friendly.

Overall Experience: I would absolutely choose The Ohio State University again. I love being at such a big school. My whole life is literally in walking distance from my house. Not to mention I love the atmosphere here on game days when the streets are closed off because they are actually flooded with people, you cannot beat that. My experience here has been so great and I would never trade it for any other school.

Guys & Girls: There are so many different types of people here it is physically impossible not to find someone you think is attractive. You see someone attractive daily and you find someone with the same interest as you daily. When you were in high school and got mad at someone for wearing the same shirt as you it was acceptable, but now that you're in a big college you can't do that because it's going to happen, everyday of your life.

Drug Safety: There is a lot of drinking on the weekends; most of it is due to our big athletics. So there is a lot of underage drinking at our school too but there are also a lot of kids who choose not to drink as well. If you don't drink no one says anything bad about you or looks at you differently. There are so many people here it is hard to not have a friend who drinks and is not twenty-one.

Academics: I get emails everyday with specific internships and job offers I can apply to for my major. There is also a website set up for each major where they can find and apply to countless different jobs and internships. The workload for my major is average and I can easily get through it. I find the curriculum interesting and love the facilities.

4 College Freshman

Academics: We have a broad range of study options and some of the best study programs in the world. There are tons of study abroad programs and international studies as well. Plus there are some of the greatest professors here and they can help you learn everything you need to know.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: I can get anywhere I need to go, and for the most part it is at no or very little cost. I can ride the bus for free all around campus, or even Columbus and into Bexley and other cities. I can easily find a ride home for the weekend to visit my family and there is an airport that is right by campus for any students to use.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Being police on a college campus they are going to have plenty of enemies because of the large amount of underage drinking and other things college students like to do, but the law enforcement here is respectful here in the way they control it in that they do not condone it but will do more things to prevent it before they have to get you in trouble. It creates a more positive atmosphere.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of different options around campus and near campus, but because campus is so big it seems like you can walk from one end of campus to the other and find the same options just fifteen minutes away. It may be convenient at times but it is also annoying when you can have other options instead of repeat restaurants.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
