Scholarships: The process was a little time consuming and I wish I could have gotten a little more money.

Greek Life: They do not do a whole lot around campus. They live in huge houses while the Black Greek students don't even have houses on campus.

Off-Campus Housing: Most people move off campus for their own privacy and freedom. But the prices keep rising.

Scholarships: If you don't receive the initial scholarships when you apply, there is like no opportunity to get them at any other time. I got nothing.

Nightlife: Last year there was a lot more going on but most of the time if nothing is happening it is because of the weather.

Transportation: The buses run frequently until about midnight, and on weekends they come every thirty minutes and take the long route.

Majors: The workload is intense for engineering majors but it wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the caliber of classes that we're meant to take a semester. The transfer from quarters to semesters caused the school to stuff tons of information into a semester and the professors have a hard time managing their time. If they can't manage their time it is almost impossible for me to manage mine.

Majors: It depends on which engineering major it is. The highly competitive majors turn away people that have applied over and over again. And then they have to waste money on retaking classes that they already passed just to keep their GPA up high enough to apply. While others let anybody who wants to join in at whilm.

College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Either you find people who do it our you don't. You may overhear people talking about it but if you don't go looking for it you won't find it.

5 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Short north is great, there are plenty of clubs in Columbus and hookah bars

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
