3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I'm not really in to Greek Life.

Campus Dining: Options are okay, but get old.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: It is so amazingly diverse here. Its nice to get to know someone from a different background.

Off-Campus Housing: lots of options and the school provides safety technology for free for off campus students

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: We have free buses on campus and throughout town

Athletics: Athletics are huge here! Our facilities for athletes and students are top notch.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: We have the best off-campus food options right on the street that runs along campus.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Lots of possible transportation, however the bars/clubs have been known to be unsafe and roofies are possible.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: There are so many students that it is hard to get aid.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Lots of labs in all of the libraries across campus, but wireless is spotting.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The best part about my school is how helpful my advisor is for the Environmental Science major. The opportunities that I have to be successful are all given to me. I plan on studying abroad next year and the options are amazing.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics are very tough in classes like Math and chemistry. The reason for this is if the professor gets behind the students pay for it in the end. The class sizes are huge and it is hard for the teacher to connect with us.

Greek Life: I'm not to sure about the greek life. I've seen the great big beautiful houses they have for students but haven't investigated much.So I don't believe I'm the best person to ask.

Facilities: There are a lot of facilities that I have yet to discover but the ones I have found are great. They have a place where you can get discounted tickets to local attractions and amusement parks, you know after you're done studying of course. They also have a lot of health and job fairs to give students information about such things.

Facilities: There are like a bagillion libraries on campus. And the great thing is there are a couple that are 24 hour libraries in case you work 2nd shift and want to study after work. Also, there are a ton of cafes placed across school buildings to grab some food between classes or maybe even a small snack. They tend to be a lot healthier than restaurants that you would go to on campus. And there are a ton of campus events and traditions. Too many to tell you about. But our most famous one is the mirror lake jump.

Local Atmosphere: There is always a ton of stuff you can do on campus, or get to from campus. Just north of the main campus area there is an extremely incredible artsy area known as the "Short North." There are tons of cool locally owned shops and galleries to explore. There are also cute little cafe's to stop in to get a bite to eat. And the best part is they're in walking distance. If you have been out all day and your feet get tired just use your Buck ID and take the bus back down the street.

Drug Safety: I haven't heard of much drug activity on campus. I'm sure there maybe someone out there using hardcore drugs on the hush but I have yet to hear of it. The most I hear of is alcohol, and after that it would have to be marijuana. I haven't really heard of use of much else besides that.

Campus Dining: The campus dining is just as good as off campus dining, but then again there are way more options.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: I believe that the business owners who placed restaurants here were very smart and strategic. There is a huge variety of types of places to eat from greek to chinese to some good old fashioned donuts. There is almost a huge variety of late night delivery places that are there for you when you're studying for an exam or have caught a case of insomnia and hopeless hunger at the same time.

Diversity: This campus is so huge it has no choice but to be extremely diverse. This is great because there are far too many chances to meet new people and discover new things.

Transportation: If there isn't a CABS bus to take you where you need to go on campus then there is a cota bus that will. And the cota bus is free with your Buck ID. So you don't have to worry about bus fare.

Weather: The weather in Columbus, Ohio is so irrational. what you think may be bad could become worse that day or in the days to come. Or it could do the complete opposite and flip to great weather. Although the weather does what it wants there is a bus system that runs through campus with multiple routes to help you out on the days the weather becomes "bipolar."

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The strictness of everything on campus is really practical. There isn't anything totally ridiculous about it.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are thousands of opportunities that students can take advantage of to help them get involved on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Student life is a very important part of campus. The Office of Student Life always has something going on.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
