Academics: I am in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at OSU. It is very intensive and busy but interesting and doable, even for someone like me who also has a full time job.

Parking: Ok parking is terrible. But if you can find somewhere to park your vehicle, you really don't need to move it unless you're leaving town for the weekend, because there is plenty of campus/public transportation.

5 College Junior

Diversity: This campus is incredibly diverse. I have friends from all walks of life and they are great people; no one judges eachother for their beliefs.

Nightlife: Lots of great places to party, including house parties, frat/sorority, and bar/clubs. Campus shuttles make transportation very easy, but most places are within walking distance also.

Campus Strictness: As a large state university, Ohio State is pretty lenient. Drinking and partying is routine but the student who wants to work hard and get an education, can easily do so. It's been the perfect balance of a college experience for me.

Overall Experience: Ohio State University has given me an excellent education, travel opportunities and experience. OSU campus is big, clean, and beautiful; all of the buildings have high tech equipment. The college professors I encountered in my major courses were brilliant, well established, and friendly. I have been to Utah, Denver, Houston, and North Carolina for different events sponsored by OSU. I have had some of the best times of my life with my peers and professors that I met at OSU. If I could I would do it all again at the Ohio State University.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
