3 College Junior

Nightlife: We don't have that many frats and the sororities can't have parties but the do hold other events.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I stay on campus mainly. It is a fun and safe atmosphere.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I am not really a nightlife type person, so I would not know in particular. The parties around campus can get pretty loud to the point where they are heard from my dorm room.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: There is plenty to do in Atlanta, once you are a certain age. A lot of the clubs here are 21 and over and they have college nights on Thursday. Personally, if I want to hang out, my friends and I get together in someone's common room and we will have our own thing there. I'm not much of a club goer, actually my first time in a club/lounge setting was last semester. Josephine's lounge was a nice spot. It wasn't too rowdy and there was a nice open dance floor and very laid back lounging booths and very good servers. I've heard of Mansion and some other clubs but a lot of the under 21 students are too fond of it because college night isn't as fun as going to a club where all ages are there. However I'm not a club goer but my experience at Josephine's lounge was nice and it was just enough. There are also Hookah bars around that I hear are very reasonably priced.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: Most events are on campus but since you are in a city, you have options to go out. Lots of options in Atlanta.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There are places for all students to hang out at night. It's definitely easier for the older students to find somewhere, but there is still something for everyone within the city. Most of the clubs are for 21-and-older only, but there are a few that cater to 18-year-olds as well. Anyone under that age might have trouble finding a club, but several malls and eateries can provide them with an equally fun experience.

Getting to clubs and bars can be an issue when a student lacks transportation. MARTA stops running early in the morning, so having a car becomes essential. Most students are fine with hanging around campus, however, so for them transportation becomes irrelevant.

The only real parties on campus are thrown by the frats or sponsored for big events by OSA. Clubs have parties from time to time, but they're usually only for members, and they usually take place off campus. On a regular night, many students just hang around the dorms talking to people, watching movies, etc. While this is still fun, it lacks the excitement of Atlanta attractions.
