Overall Experience: I would choose my school again if I could do it all over again because it has saved me money and prepared me for the future.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Online courses are usually self explanatory. The workload is not too bad. Registration for online courses is easy.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is not too costly making Odessa College a good place to start out at especially if you plan to transfer to the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. You will save money by paying for your basics at Odessa College.

College Senior

Career Services: I have not checked into the career services.

Academic Flexibility: I had more flexibilities with choosing my courses and their times when I first started out at Odessa College. This is my fourth semester at Odessa College and this is the first semester that I didn't have hardly any options on what times and days of the week and could choose my courses. All of my courses will transfer over to the University of Texas of the Permian Basin where I will my education.

Academic Experience: The campus just got a new math and science building. It's very modern looking. The workload in my specific major is not bad.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The professors are very helpful. Odessa College is a community college so the curriculum is focused on basics. The class registration process is very simple.

Student Body: The majority of the student body does not live on campus. The dorms are mostly reserved for athletic or international students. The student body is dominantly Hispanic. Most students are friendly and easy to get along with.

Campus Resources: Compared to the other colleges and the university close by, the athletic center is larger and the gyms are nicer. There are campus activities every week. The faculty is really helpful at the library.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Based on the size of the campus, there is a decent sized computer lab. There is wireless access every where on campus except the athletic center.

Facilities: It is a small campus and everyone is friendly. I like that it is small because I came from a small school. There is more one on one time with the professors because the class sizes are not large.

Online Courses: I am not a fan of online classes but since I needed to take some I really appreciated the quality of the ones offered at my school. Blackboard was easy to navigate and techs were quick to respond if there was a problem. The workload was manageable and the registration process was simple. The professors were as available as possible and answered emails within a good time frame as well as offering other ways to contact them via phone or on campus if possible and made the class as interactive as possible with Tegrity recordings, links, videos, and discussion boards.

Academic Experience: I really enjoyed my classes as they were very relevant, up to date and even fun! The chair over our education program was so helpful and ready to point you in the right direction with great encouragement along the way. The workload was very manageable and the facilities were readily available as well as the professors.

Academic Experience: For a two year college, it has a very wide variety of classes you can take. For most classes, there are an adequate number of professors who genuinely care about your education and success. The curriculum is up to date and very applicable to todays world and what you are majoring in. The class registration is highly accurate and done in a timely manner. The workload is manageable and there are always labs and tutors available on campus or online when you need them.

Academic Flexibility: Many classes have been very lenient with students including myself with giving students extra time to turn in homework or they will give extra credit on tests. I feel I am not being challenged enough. Classes such as calculus are only given once in the morning and once in the afternoon which I feel should be given at least twice in the morning. Classes such as microeconomics and macroeconomics are only offered online, something else that is frustrating.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: They have been very helpful and understanding with my schedule

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Everything that I was told that I would be paying for was there. I didn't notice any unexpected fees or anything like that. I just wish there was more help in paying for the housing and other things

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I like my school and everything, its just that I wish they would have a football team and more school spirit.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I think my school is average in about the basic things that every school has, I really don't like that I would have to travel to another town in order to further my career.
