Ocean County College is one of the most beautiful and peaceful community colleges in New Jersey. As students walk through campus, they often notice the nice blossom trees during the spring and summer semesters. Ocean County College has some of the finest athletic facilities in the region and the state. Students can experience a competition-size swimming pool with modern scoreboards, six tennis courts, scenic softball and baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a gymnasium, a fitness room, and a multipurpose turf field.
Ocean County College is often involved in renovations, as well, having recently added The Robert J. Novins Planetarium. The College also recently renovated the Arts and Community Center. Ocean County College and Kean University together are constructing a new building on the OCC campus called the Gateway Building, which includes classrooms, computer labs, offices, a lounge space, a 255-seat lecture hall, seminar/conference rooms, a graphic design studio, a 50-seat multipurpose conference space, and a basement storage area. The library’s collection contains more than 80,000 books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and online resources. Most students bring their laptops to school, while others use the computers that are located in the library and in the Technology Building.
