Oakland University has one dining hall called Vandenberg. Its food is better than average dorm food, with Mongolian barbecue-style food and vegetarian options. Pizza is always plentiful, and there is a variety of salads and desserts. The one thing that disappoints is that if you want to bring a guest, it costs $10 per person, even though the food is not valued at $10 per person.
If you bring a guest, take him or her to the Pioneer Food Court. There, you can get Asian salads, Mexican food, pizza and pasta, Subway, and Zoup. Zoup has vegan and vegetarian alternatives, and is one of the healthiest options. It also is inexpensive and has good quality; the kind of soup changes each week. Organic and local food are offered in Vandenberg Dining Center for those looking to be healthier. Vandenberg offers three meals a day, Monday through Saturday, and two meals on Sunday. Late-night snacks are also offered Monday through Saturday, which usually ends up being pizza.
