4 College Senior

Drug Safety: tons of alcohol on campus, and you'll find drugs off campus if you look for it

Majors: Its a great architecture program but the only problem is the amount of technological expertise that is taught in the architecture program is not as much as many other programs which may limit our options out of school.

Greek Life: There is no greek life

Computers: Wireless availability is much better than it has been in the past. Access to a computer in a lab can be difficult if it is right before midterms or finals

Diversity: Military college = White, conservatism. I.E. not much diversity

Campus Dining: In comparison to other campus' I have seen, I think it is actually really good.

Weather: I love the winter and the snow!

Athletics: I mean I know we are Division 4 at our school but everyone still really sports the hockey and football teams on campus

Parking: Ample parking, but it can be difficult for commuter students to find a good spot that isn't too far away.

Overall Experience: The access to learning, how much professors actually help you and go out of their way to do so is remarkable! The small faculty to student ratio also helps for you to get to know your professor and get the help you need if you are struggling. Even if you are not enrolled in a professor's class, they are still willing to spend time to help you if you need it!! In sharp contrast, being at a college that has a strong ROTC program, and a high acceptance rate is difficult and creates a situation where students are ignorant and outright mean to one another.

Nightlife: If you are looking for a sausage fest, then a Norwich Party is the place for you my friend!

Weather: It is always cold and winter here in Vermont. Sometimes the sun is only out for a few hours each day and there is always that period of time in February that the sun does not come out from behind the clouds for several weeks. It makes it very depressing.

2 College Junior

Computers: The school is now starting to charge us 5 cents per page printed despite the technology fee at the beginning of the year. The internet is slow and often crashes multiple times a semester. There was a point in the semester where the internet was not working for about two weeks. Tech support is terrible and are rude most of the time.

2 College Junior

Transportation: Transportation at this school is terrible and the only campus shuttle available is for when you are drunk. If you do not have a car or a friend with a car you aren't leaving campus.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: There is not much to do on or off campus which makes the possibility of drugs and alcohol use at our school increase. The school tries to take a hard stance against it, but it fails at that and many students go to the hospital each year.

3 College Junior

Academics: There is a lot of busy work that is given out that often does not contribute to the learning that takes place in the classroom. Most of the faculty are knowledgeable, but some I question how they became a college professor. Overall it is average to most of the universities in the nation.

Parking: The possibility of getting a ticket is extremely high here because that is all security does for this school. There are not enough parking spots on campus for everyone that has a car and it takes over fifteen minutes to walk to the parking lots. Also they are snow plowed very poorly in the winter leading to your car getting stuck or getting into an accident.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: There are only two bars on campus and to have any night life in Vermont would be amazing since everything you have to travel over a half hour away and then nothing is open past midnight even on the weekends. It makes things very boring and leads to much of the drinking on campus.

1 College Junior

Greek Life: There are very little fraternities or sororities on campus and the only ones that are on campus are attributed to the academic societies.

2 College Junior

Diversity: In terms of sexual orientation there is a large lesbian population, but other than that most are straight. Economic status is diverse due to the large amount of ROTC scholarships that are available that allow lower economic status to afford this school. Since this school is a military school political beliefs and religion often are the same throughout the students.

Campus Housing: There is not much to do on campus in terms of activities which contributes to the large amount of alcohol that is consumed on a regular basis. On campus housing is done by a lottery where you only get some preference in your roommate and since all of the dorms are practically the same there is no real benefit too which building you get. The rooms are small and not worth the price.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The schools policies changed this year that no longer allow students to live off campus which will hurt a lot of the locals in the town who own property. Prior to that off campus housing was relatively small, but good for the price.

2 College Junior

Facilities: The long winters make it hard to be outside, but even if there is nice weather there are not enough open fields that non-athletes can use. There is no real place for students to hang out on the weekends besides the dorms. The library is usually a good place to study, but often gets too noisy. Traditions on this campus are slowly dying each year.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The thing that sets us apart from other universities is the corps of cadets, the large rotc branches, and the large class ring. Other than that we are below par in everything compared to other colleges.

2 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There are too many guys at this school and many of them think the gym is their home. Jeans, boots with a sweatshirt is often good enough when not in uniform. The girls are not the classiest and often can look like many of the guys. Too many lesbians.
