College Freshman

Parking: I don't have a car so i don't have any issues

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: All of the students I know are athletes and we enjoy sports & dancing no time for all that extra stuff

5 College Freshman

Weather: I love the Florida weather!

1 College Freshman

Campus Dining: I have had better food and options at my high school. There is poor food selection and no real meals served.

3 College Junior

Computers: The internet is very slow. It drops all the time and espeically at night when i'm doing homework. Printing on campus is nice. they give you money to print. There is a lot of computers on campus.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Its west palm beach. There are malls, beaches, and plenty of restaurants.

2 College Junior

Campus Strictness: there is not stictness at the school. at least not anymore.

2 College Junior

Transportation: They offer a car to rent buts that is it. You have to walk outside of the school to ride a bus.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: There is drug use and alcohol drinking on campus. There is more of it this year than i have seen it in years.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: There are security guards on campus but they are more worried about students than they are worried about non-students coming on campus.

3 College Junior

Parking: You have to pay a 40 fine for parking for the whole year. There is not a need for a car on campus. There is a lot of availability for parking spaces.

5 College Junior

Nightlife: West Palm Beach Nightlife is the best. There are top notch bars and clubs in the downtown area. There is limos and cabs to use for transportation to these areas.

4 College Junior

Diversity: There is a diversity on campus for all topics. These are challenged in the classrooms as well.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There is a large international based students and more than half of the school are athletes.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Campus housing is a joke. The RA are not reliable and party as much as the students. Most of the RA are under age anyways.

2 College Junior

Facilities: It's bad. There is a student life but very small.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Only a couple programs are successful. The school needs to improve the facilities, coaching staff, and the programs. The school and fan support is only for the basketball. School spirit is the same unless we are winning in conference.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: The school is mostly average.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: It is calm in the dorms, but a few time it will get a little loud for a short period of time. In the night clubs outside campus, they're great with different people dance all kinds of songs from different cultures.

4 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: I love the area its not very far from the beaches.

Off-Campus Housing: I find it a great area. It seems very safe and calm.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Being out of state I did everything over the phone and e-mail. I applied for financial aid online and if I ran into trouble I called my university and they helped. I suggest always calling your school and making sure you filled out everything correctly.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: The nightlife at Northwood University is for those who are 21years old or older. There is one club that I know of that is 18year old and older. Even though you may be 21 or older you still need a car because the good clubs and bars are ten minutes away by car. A taxi would cost you almost $20.00 each way. The parties on campus are never really parties. Students sit around, some play games and of course there's music but it never feels like a real party.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: There are two wings for dorms. The East wing is mostly freshmen and the West wing is mostly upperclassmen. The inside of the dorms are great. Three closets for two people, double sink, shower, study room, and a living room shared between the four people who live in the suite. The upperclassmen side however has nicer furniture in their suites. The only downfall is laundry cost $1.25 for washing and another $1.25 for drying. We already pay $10,000 for room and board they could include washing and drying machines.

5 College Freshman

Computers: Since Northwood University is a small college there are plenty of computers on the campus. There are enough computers between the library and the computer labs for regular students and students in the masters program. They are high speed and are uploaded with the latest software. They are easy to use and are always updated. They run perfect. Most if not all students have their own laptop and the WiFi connection is good more than half the time.
