Off-Campus Dining: The pizza place I went to was great. The customer service was amazing. They even mailed me my purse when I left it!

Off-Campus Dining: The off campus eating is little far by walking but there are lots of options.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a ton of options, Evanston has a lot of ethnic diversity so many ethnic food options and your typical fast food options. Also Chicago is close. My only warning is that many place do not accept student discounts and food around here can be expensive.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: There's a few restaurants here and there; for more options you have to go into town or something.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Tons of off campus dining options

Evanston is definitely the dining capital of the North Shore. There are more restaurants than you will know what to do with. For the Chicago classic deep-dish pizza, there's Lou Malnati’s and Giordano's, for noodles there's Cozy Noodles & Rice, Noodles and Co., Flat Top, Zoba Noodle, and that’s just the beginning. Part of your Northwestern experience will undoubtedly include sampling many of the Evanston restaurants. There is a perfect balance between chain restaurants (like Chipotle, Panera, and Red Mango) that will remind you of home, and local restaurants like Olive Mountain, Lulu's, and the ever-popular Joy Yee's. If you're looking for a coffee break, Kafein and Unicorn Café are the places to go. And what if you're hungry at 2 a.m.? Hit up Burger King, Evanston's only 24-hour restaurant. BK really comes alive at night providing late-night snacks for students staying up studying, partying, or whatever you're up to in those wee hours of the morning. The best part of these restaurants is that they are all within walking distance from campus, located right in downtown Evanston.

While many restaurants do give discounts to students with WildCARDs, some restaurants can get pricey. For college students on a budget, the restaurant adventures may seem more limited. But when you get tired of dining hall food or want to reward yourself for finishing midterms, take a walk into Evanston and try a new restaurant. If you live on North Campus and don't want to walk 10 minutes into Evanston, Noyes Street boasts some classic college-style food. Either way, make sure to take advantage of the best food on the North Shore.
