Northwestern State University of Louisiana Reviews
Rating 3.88 out of 5 1,125 reviews
Northwestern State University is the most prestigious and top tier university you can attend in Louisiana. Starting off, I did not attend NSU but I quickly regretted my decisions and transferred my Spring semester. Everyone that is employed are so helpful and they want the best for every student. No matter the situation, they are here to help you. Financial needs, personal concerns, anything you can name, they are there to make their students feel safe and comfortable. There is not a time that I sent an email that was not answered and if one person couldn’t answer my question, they redirected me to someone else. Northwestern State University is the place to be when you are considering what college you should attend.
I currently live in Columns on campus at NSU, and the main problems we have is with the hot water and plumbing. The drains are very slow when draining and some days we have no hot water. The campus is gated in; the gates close at 9 pm, and there is only one way to enter. It makes me feel safe that the main entrance is past the police station, and sometimes the poll booth is used to check IDs to insure that it is only students entering campus at late hours. I enjoy the cafeteria food, and they try to keep it interesting by adding an "INFERNO" station, which is a station that has something different every week that you can create yourself. The campus is very pretty and peaceful for the most part.
Since the beginning, when I finally made my decision to return to college to obtain my bachelor's degree in nursing, it was an easy transition. The steps to apply were simple. After some self-navigating, I was able to feel confident in online school. It has been smooth sailing since!
