Local Atmosphere: Safety among the town is very safe. There are only a few area attractions such as the Tulip Time festival, and the community is very open to students. However there is not many activities on a regular basis for students to do off campus. Going to a nearby town is common.

Local Atmosphere: Orange City is a great small down with a great dutch heritage, you see a sign coming into the town that says "Discover the Dutch" by the time you're out of Northwestern, even if you're not dutch, you will be. Besides that, it's a friendly town, and I don't think it's that boring. Northwestern is a community within a community, so I find satisfaction there.

Local Atmosphere: The only activity Orange City has is the Tulip Festival in May every year. We are not very cultural because Orange City is mostly white. There are a few good shops to shop at,but they are very small. Orange City is a very safe town. There is no city transportation. There is not much to do in Orange City. Some students go to a bar called DD's in Alton and they have dances there. A lot of students drink and even have sex there.

Local Atmosphere: Orange City is a small college town with strong religious roots. The people are very friendly and hospitable. The nearby school Dordt College, which is a town over, works in unison with Northwestern on some community projects.

Local Atmosphere: There is not a lot to do in Orange City as compared to other schools but the people of Orange City make it worth it! The people are always willing to help and are great Christian people. They show great concern for the students and accommodate to the college.
