4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Which dorm you choose to live in depends on what you are looking for in your college experience. If you choose to live in one of the new dorms, there is not as much a emphasis on community and closeness between dorm-mates. If you are wanting a sense of tight community and closeness, then living in the older dorms is where you will find it.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Northwestern housing is pretty great if you can get by with not being clean all the time. depending where you live, showers might suck, internet may suck. Depending on who cleans your wing or place you live, it can get either really dirty, or really clean.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: All dorms have great communities. Fern (women's and where I live) is in the same building as the cafeteria and all furniture is stack-able. Hospers (women's and will be men's next year) has the smallest rooms and has the largest lounge. Stegenga (women's) is air conditioned, has only bunk beds, and has the largest rooms. West (men's) will be demolished after this year. Many compare it to a prison. North Suites is really far away from everything on campus and has four people in a suite. Colenbrander (men's) has no carpet and most athletes live here.
I got my first choice because I applied early. Many women I have talked to were placed in Hospers which was their last choice because they applied later. Hospers was my second choice, so that shows when someone applies for housing matters.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love the housing here at Northwestern, there are a lot of different options

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Fern Girls, Make Your Hearts Burn Girls – The dorm I lived in my freshman year was so great that I'm living in it again! The girls are all super nice and the sense of community there is very heartwarming. It's become my home-away-from-home.
