4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: If I had the option, as of now I would choose to come back to the school if I was to be a high school senior again. Most of the professors ive had were awesome, the one on one is great and the small classes are nice. The only thing that is a concern is that the school may be a little to close to a high school setting and when you take the jump from a community college and go to a university, the change of environment would be a shock

Campus Resources: The wireless internet has been known to mess up once and while but not to the point where ive had any major complaints. There is only one main computer lab but there are plenty of smaller labs which are tailored to different subjects

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Unfortunately, Ive never used any other the athletic centers or attended any of the activities. Out of the few acquaintances that ive made, none have mentioned attending any of those events either

College Sophomore

Career Services: I have yet to utilize any of these services at this point

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: When is comes to social events, there is plenty of options but not near as much as ive noticed from other universities

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: When comparing to a university, the price is not bad at all

Academic Flexibility: As of being one who works part time, I've found that the class options and times are scattered for many choices. The only thing I've noticed and I'm sure of any college, is that some classes fill up to quick or there aren't as many options for the higher level courses.

Student Body: The diversity of the school is fairly even. I haven't ever felt that there were to many of one race or gender

Online Courses: As someone who has taken several online courses with the college, I've found the courses are convenient and not very time consuming as I expected. Some courses were just a weekly assignment with the occasional test and quiz while the other was more interactive with required discussions and assignments.

Academic Experience: So far in my current college career at Northwest Vista College, I have been happy with the education and the one on one experience. Yes just like any college student, I've had that one professor that shouldn't be teaching. Overall though, the other professors I've had have been awesome. As I haven't had the university experience yet, I would say the classes and the attention you receive are close to what you would receive in high school minus not being able to turn in things past the deadline.

Academic Experience: There are many majors that are available, if there is a career you're looking to go into, there is bound to be a program to enter and if not then I'm sure there are some pre-courses you can complete before transferring out.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: it gives me the education I need

Student Body: some are great others not so much

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: not very easy to register and schedule classes

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: hard to fit into my schedule

Student Body: Diverse! No campus is more diverse than NVC! It has won an award for being one of the most military-friendly schools, and it received additional awards for excellent customer service. The students are able to be themselves, and pursue their goals without fear of judgement and discrimination. The students are friendly, and always eager to get no loved with each other.

Academic Experience: There aren't any internships that I know of for pre-nursing majors. However, the courses required make it far easier to successfully obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing at any university.

Academic Experience: The campus offers a great variety of programs it's diverse group of students! My campus offers a cinema production major, and video game design major, as well as dance majors, pre-nursing, pre-veterinary studies, and more! The professors are very knowledgeable about the courses they teach.

Campus Resources: There are many places which offer the ability to print papers and study. The IT team is always available in the event of a technical issue, and there are rarely events when the school's network is unavailable.

Campus Resources: Between the student fitness center and the transfer center, NVC offers everything any student can need to immediately enter the workforce after completion of courses, or for transferring to a university. It also offers students a low-cost gym membership to stay active during class breaks, or simply, a convenient alternative to driving longer distances to utilize a fitness center.

5 College Senior

Career Services: The career and transfer services center offers many resources including how to build a resume, practice interview skills, and deciding a major, if necessary. They also host many events where transfer universities come to campus and provide information on what requirements are needed to transfer for specific majors.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I have always had an easy time finding courses to meet my schedule and degree plan.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: Online courses are often difficult because students don't realize that online courses take more time than classes taken on campus. In my experiences, the online classes have been easy, convenient, and the instructors are available for assistance whenever it is needed. I am not happy about the use of the program called TurnItIn, but not all online courses require it.

5 College Senior

Facilities: The general atmosphere of the school is what sets it apart from other campuses in the district, and in the state. The campus is green, clean, modern, and offers a variety of locations for students to study. The campus makes every effort to provide activities for students, and provide us with opportunities for success. Everyone is happy and comfortable being themselves! The campus currently offers 35 clubs and organizations which students can become involved with, and give back to the community.
