4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I am able to hold a full time job and comfortably attend my classes and get my homework done, I don't feel burnt out and I have some free time to spend with my friends and family

4 College Freshman

Student Body: The diversity at NICC is incredible the student population is so diverse, there are foreign exchange students, many non traditional students, NICC is a mixing pot of all kinds of different people

4 College Freshman

Career Services: They send Emails constantly with job opportunities for students which are close to graduating or they also send internship emails as well.

2 College Freshman

Online Courses: My experience with online courses was not good, that's not to say someone with more time wouldn't greatly benefit from them, however, I did not. I had one instructor who was fabulous about communicating with me when I had specific problems or just things that I didn't quite grasp and then I had another who was not so.

Academic Experience: Northeast Iowa Community College's nursing program is very highly regarded in the community; I feel that going to Northeast Iowa Community College for nursing not only gives me a one up on other graduating nurses because the curriculum is covered in such great detail but also that I am not paying university prices while I work toward my practical nursing degree.

Academic Experience: The professors at NICC (any that I've had) are so passionate about what they teach and I feel as though they wish to enstill the same passion onto you, they don't just stand up front and lecture straight out of a book, they really get into it and explain it in terms to help you to better understand the topic. The registration process is so simple, the website is very easy to manuever or if you wish to use an admissions specialist they are so aweome with helping you pick out what you need for your degree and what is going to be beneficial to you.

Campus Resources: NICC recently put in a whole new library, it is beautiful there are study rooms that are for the most part relatively quiet. The student councel is great about the activities and spreading the word about the activities. The aesthetics of the college are continually improving.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: There are multiple computer labs throughout the campus, with access to printers which for now are free to students to print whatever they wish. The schools network can be a bit sluggish but nothing too major.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The women in the financial aid office really do their best to help, but I feel as though their best isn't enough, when there is an issue it takes so long for the issue to be resolved you really begin to wonder if all the trouble it really worth it. Granted, I've been attending NICC on and off for 7 years and the issues are not an every time occurence but when they do occur, it is a huge pain.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: for being my first college i dont know what to expect

3 College Junior

Online Courses: They seem alright, Fall of 2014 is when i start.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I am very pleased with the outcome of my education so far. However, were I to do it over, I may go to a more nursing focused school.

4 College Senior

Student Body: A typical student comes and goes to class without much extra-curricular involvement. However, I would say most students find good friends on campus and hang out with them. Our campus is not extremely diverse; however our community is not incredibly diverse either. I would say it is just as diverse as the community.

4 College Senior

Career Services: As far as I know, the post-grad services are reasonable. They provide a variety of job fairs which helps.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I have not had difficulty between scheduling school and work.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: Online courses have worked very well for me so far. The professor/student relationship is not much, but the professors have been very accommodating, and often I do not have to contact the professor for anything.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The exercise facility available to students is fantastic. They provide free membership with payment of activity fee. This allows for use of the equipment as well as training classes.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Generally computers are easily available and the wireless is fairly strong throughout campus. Printing costs are reasonable; however, due to the large amount of printing my program requires, I often use my own printer to avoid going over $20 of printing each semester.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Unique aspects to my program include clinicals, and the facilities work great for their intended purpose. The workload can be extensive at times, but overall, it is do-able.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I really enjoy the professors; they respect us and get to know us. The curriculum is sufficient, and class registration goes smoothly. The workload is workable with my schedule; however, special study options are restricted to those whose parents did not finish 4-year college, whose parents present a financial need, or those who represent a need for study help. This can be difficult for those who plan to pay college for themselves but would still like study assistance.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe that the value of education I am receiving is worth the money.

4 Recent Alumnus

Career Services: They post job listings all over the school, and will add you to an email list for job that relate to your degree if you wish.

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I received enough in scholarships and grants to cover my tuition for my second year there.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I found the courses to be challenging, the tutoring availability was amazing, registration was made very easy, and the full-time instructors were great. I did struggle with some of the adjunct instructors though.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I had some difficulty with class scheduling conflicts and there were a couple of courses that they didn't have available on campus (I didn't like taking language or math online).
