Students at Northwest Florida State College who feel like they have no idea what they want to major in can complete a career workshop where they can take career aptitude tests. These tests determine what a student's strong points are in several different areas of fields of study, such as business, law, science, music, theater, mathematics, athletics, etc. The tests break down each field of study into several smaller specialized fields of study under those broader fields. Once the student determines their strong point, they can then look to academic advisers on campus to plan their study for that specific area.

Let's say that you never have attended college before, or you used to attend college, but decided it wasn't right, and now you have decided to go back to school. You can still attend several informative sessions at the university at little to no cost. These include resume workshops, interview improvement workshops, basic adult education courses, career planning services, English as a second language courses, and other helpful resources to get the career that you want started.
