Career Services: Its varies on who you know

3 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: Small class sizes help you take advantage of asking questions you might not ask in a bigger classroom setting.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Talking to the right ccounselor helps with the proces

Academic Flexibility: I had a tough time with sciences.but I had the best math teacher in high school I never could understand math but at the npc I got an A. Each teacher gives u a syllabus so there isnt a surprise test or anything they give u the tools to be prepared.

Student Body: I feel the campus is super freindly and diverse. The teachers, student, and the rest of the faculty are a bunch of nice smart people who care about education.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: You are available to a lot of information in the library and on the school website on campus. Most of the time the liabrians are very helpful and nice.

Campus Resources: It is great theres alot available I wasnt sure how to look things up at first but then I went and asked for help now its easy.

Online Courses: It was ok but I would rather talk face to face with someone. The teachers made themselves available as possible as theycould and were helpful.

Academic Experience: Its a small town so there isnt much funding maybe some of the cna class locations could be better.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: The workload is usually manageable I have only had problems with a couple science classes being a little fast paced but I was in high school at the time also.

The teachers were great I loved my english teacher mr. Goulet he was very passionate about his class and I always looked forward to it. My psychology classes were interactive and fun the teacher has a great sense of humor but is a great teacher.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe I'm paying way to much for my books, these books are for modules and I am not even close to coming close to sign up for my core classes I could only imagine how much that would cost. With the financial aid office I think its a lot of work and such a hassle but totally worth it. To me every penny counts.

2 College Sophomore

Student Body: Its hard to explain but the one way I can esplain it is some students have a stuck up type of attitude. Most of the student body are Native American mixed up of Hopis and Navajos.

College Sophomore

Facilities: Well one thing for sure is that this campus is out on the Hopi Reservation which is really a big help for me because of cultural things. The social scene is really not a social scene the reason being is because this really is just a Northland Pioneer center not really one of the main campuses.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I haven't really been to the schools campus because of transportation and I'm only focusing on my Early Childhood Education Modules first then I can be able to use the career center to help look for some type of work.

4 College Junior

Career Services: I have never personally dealt with career services but everyone seems so nice, I am sure the career services staff are nice and helpful like everyone else

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Right now I am majoring in business administration, planning to transfer to a nearby university after getting my AA degree in business. So far its been great

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am happy with the variety of classes I have been able to take so far

3 College Junior

Facilities: I have taken all online classes so I don't really go to the actual campus but from what I seen, its nice

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is one of the lowest in the state of Arizona, which was one of the main reasons I chose this school

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library is where I spent the most time and it was always open and the aides were always helpful

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Everything as far as I had experienced it were great!

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I had the opportunity to work with some great instructors this semester. They were always willing to work with me

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I feel like I have had great success at my school with the instructors I've had and I would not change a thing

4 College Junior

Student Body: I believe that a lot of the students at my school are older people returning to school.

Northland Pioneer College is a community college in Northern Arizona, with four campuses and several centers. NPC offers small class sizes and affordable tuition. It's great for students who want to earn college credit while saving money. The programs at NPC are practical and career-focused. Nursing and cosmetology students (among others) receive plenty of hands-on training and gain the knowledge necessary to get their certifications. Even for those not on a specific career path, NPC offers all of the preparation necessary for what’s next.

There isn’t much to say for campus life. NPC does not have the lively environment of a university, and student activities are pretty limited. NPC is definitely an academically focused school. Most students commute to school and leave as soon as class is over. It’s uncommon to see students hanging out on campus, mostly due to the fact that there is no place to purchase food! What NPC lacks in campus life it makes up for in the classroom. It’s hard to get lost in the crowd at NPC. Class sizes are small, and it’s easy to get to know your professors. The advisers are easy to talk to, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
