Theres lots of bars and breweries in town and attract many students.
Theres an okay amount of scholarships but many have large guidelines
Theres a lot of great places on campus and many over spectacular views of lake superior and the "mountains" /woods. Some buildings are older but many are new and have a very open feel to them.
Campus housing is great. Students are required to spend two years in the dorm and you really do gain valuable connections through housing.
I love Northern and everything it offers. While it is still a big school, it has the small school feel. You have to be prepared for a cold winter but it can be fun.
