3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: It's better than the dorm food of our parents but they repeat the same 8 dishes throughout the year and the vegetarian options are just a lot of zucchini put into various dishes. But they have a vegetarian option, and vegan, and that's better than nothing.

Campus Dining: There are a lot of options for all types of eaters (including those with certain allergies or other restrictions), the food itself is better than average, and there's a lot of variety so you don't get bored too often.

Campus Dining: They charge a lot for meals...but then again it's all you can eat...aka Freshmen 15

Campus Dining: Compared to friends, I have to admit that I have maybe the best cafeteria. Lot of options, 5 cafeterias plus lot of restaurants or fast food on campus. In my cafeterai they have a spot for Kosher food, Hallal food and vegetarians food

Campus Dining: Campus dining is good. The food is decent and there are a lot of different vegetarian/ethnic/vegan options for students. There are a few different places for students to go to, as well as some lunch places on campus. Rebecca's is the favorite for breakfast and lunch, and a lot of people go to Stetson East or International Village for dinner. Stetson West has good stir fry.

The food on campus is pretty good. There are choices for the health-conscious, and kosher dining plans are available at no extra charge. With three dining halls, students can mix up their meals so they don’t get bored. As a freshman, you are required to have a meal plan if you’re living in the residence halls, and since you won’t have a kitchen your freshman year, you’ll be spending a lot of time in the "D-hall," as it’s commonly known. It’s fun to go with a group of friends and get waffles or omelets for brunch or a grilled chicken sandwich and fries for lunch. Some people complain about the food, but they’d be hard-pressed to find a college campus with much better options. One of the recent additions is the Xhibition Kitchen located in Stetson West, which periodically holds food demonstrations. The newest cafeteria in Parcel 18 also features great choices, such as freshly made sushi, all-day breakfast, and brick-oven pizza.

Some students swear by the dining halls so much that they’ll even spend much of the day there, chatting with friends, doing homework, and, of course, eating! There are always the staples such as pizza, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salad, but tacos and Mexican food are often served, too, in addition to roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Did You Know?
There are five plasma TVs in the Stetson West dining hall. It also has a make-your-own stir-fry option, with a number of different meats and sauces. You usually have to wait a while until it's ready, but students agree that it's worth it!
