4 College Junior

Campus Dining: The dining hall is expensive but impressive and convenient.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: The campus dining halls are closed around 8pm, but what about students who are up studying and need nourishment? The food options are great, I just wish on-campus dining were available later.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Dining halls seem amazing at the beginning, when you eat pizza and pasta every day, but over time it becomes much harder to find healthier options. I've experienced terribly dried out rice, water bogged vegetables, undercooked chicken, and "gluten free" food that turned out to have a whole bunch of gluten in it. However, in East Stetson they have pretty good fresh pizza, pancakes/french toast/waffles in the morning, fresh baked cookies, and all the burgers you can eat. West Stetson has stir fry and these options.

College Junior

Campus Dining: I don't use the campus meal options other than the restaurants that are around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Healthy food options at times, vegan-friendly, friendly staff.

The food on campus is pretty good. There are choices for the health-conscious, and kosher dining plans are available at no extra charge. With three dining halls, students can mix up their meals so they don’t get bored. As a freshman, you are required to have a meal plan if you’re living in the residence halls, and since you won’t have a kitchen your freshman year, you’ll be spending a lot of time in the "D-hall," as it’s commonly known. It’s fun to go with a group of friends and get waffles or omelets for brunch or a grilled chicken sandwich and fries for lunch. Some people complain about the food, but they’d be hard-pressed to find a college campus with much better options. One of the recent additions is the Xhibition Kitchen located in Stetson West, which periodically holds food demonstrations. The newest cafeteria in Parcel 18 also features great choices, such as freshly made sushi, all-day breakfast, and brick-oven pizza.

Some students swear by the dining halls so much that they’ll even spend much of the day there, chatting with friends, doing homework, and, of course, eating! There are always the staples such as pizza, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salad, but tacos and Mexican food are often served, too, in addition to roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Did You Know?
There are five plasma TVs in the Stetson West dining hall. It also has a make-your-own stir-fry option, with a number of different meats and sauces. You usually have to wait a while until it's ready, but students agree that it's worth it!
