Greek Life: I have no interest in Greek life.

Nightlife: This survey seems to want to know about partying. I am here to learn and study. I have this amazing opportunity at a world class university. I'm not going to party it away. I love the school, I love being in Boston. What more can you say.

Off-Campus Housing: It depends on what you're looking for, really, there are some pretty bad options but there are also some great ones, as long as you're not paying rent alone it can be pretty affordable.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I received an amazing package, so I'm extremely biased, but I know some people who got less than amazing packages as well.

Diversity: I've honestly never seen a more diverse school in my life, I never feel out of place, which is new to me.

Weather: Whether you are from a place cold weather or warm weather, getting to experience all four seasons in Boston can be very rewarding!

3 College Freshman

Computers: There are a lot of computers in the library but for useful purposes it's easier to bring your own because it can get crowded.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: From what I've heard, OSCCR (office of student conduct and conflict resolution or something like that) is very on top of violations, but pretty fair as well.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Being that the campus is in the middle of Boston, there is a fair share of crime that occurs in the area, but at the same time, the NU police and the Boston police are always around.

Athletics: We don't have a football team, but the athletic facilities, such as marino and the other gyms are pretty great!

Transportation: We don't have campus transportation (to my knowledge) but the T system is right on campus whether it's the orange line in ruggles or the green line right in the middle of campus and it's very convenient and easy to use. There is also an abundance of taxis that drive by.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There is a lot of partying and alcohol, but there is also limited pressure to partake.

Academics: With the vast amount of majors and co-ops to go with them, the learning experience is very rewarding in the end!

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of good restaurants in the area, all very convenient to campus. Mostly non-chain restaurants.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The campus police are pretty visible and it always feels fairly safe around campus.

Weather: Very very cold winters but really nice in the spring and summer.

5 College Sophomore

Transportation: The public transportation system is great around the city.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: As far as classroom policies, they are very strict. I don't know about the dorms or other policies.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The program is very well known to hospitals in the area, and I think it helped to find a job in that sense.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Boston is a great city, and there's always something going on around the area.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I was married while attending this school so I don't have a good opinion on the relationship options :)

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It's a great school, great location.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Boston is very expensive, but there are a good number of housing options.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The campuses drinking policy doesn't affect me but they appear to be pretty lenient about seeing as I have never known anyone who has gotten into trouble for it and the only people I have ever known to get into trouble for smoking have been athletes.

Transportation: On northeastern's campus you are within walking distance from anything you may need and when you want to go to a concert or a celtics game you can walk over to one of the three train stops right on campus to get there. With your student ID you can receive a discounted rate for transportation on the train and if you need long distance transportation you can take a local train to South Station and take a long distance train or bus to nearby states or take a bus to logan air port if you needed to fly somewhere.

Overall, Northeastern University is a well-rounded school that offers a wonderful college experience and a high-quality education. The campus is beautiful and offers a quiet respite from the larger city of Boston. Northeastern exposes you to city life while still allowing you to feel a sense of community in its enclosed campus. The faculty is helpful, and it is fairly easy to get in touch with the right staff members to assist you with your needs. The co-op program puts you ahead of the game when it comes to job connections, industry knowledge, and professional experience. Most Northeastern students who partake in the co-op program graduate with two or three entry-level jobs on their resume.

The downsides at Northeastern are minimal. Parking can be difficult because the school is in the middle of Boston. But most students feel that Northeastern offers a unique college experience that allows you to enjoy your college years while getting ahead in your career.
