Online Courses: Some online courses that I would recommend would be word, excel and power point because you are basically just reading through the book, following directions and you can do it on your own time.

Academic Experience: We have a lot of programs to choose from at NWTC but there are some programs that have a waiting list and the time is redicuous.

Academic Experience: I am going into the medical field ( i switched over from business management) and I find that the teachers in this program are cold and not very friendly. Besides the fact that their classes are difficult to begin with they are not very encouraging. When I was in the business management program everybody was really nice and it was not as stressful because I felt like I could get the help I needed and ask questions without being judged.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have had a lot of trouble receiving financial aid. The people in the office are generally nice and willing to answer questions but you really have to look up most of the answers yourself and keep going into your account to check if more items have been added to your to do list. I always have many things to complete for verification and it's a pain.

Student Body: People at my school are pretty laid back, but they are not very outgoing. Most people stick to their own group and will hardly reach out to speak to someone they don't know.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: There are many computer labs and access to a computer is easy. The printing is affordable and the internet is pretty fast except it may take a while to load the computers on a busy day. They do have free wifi which is nice if you are bringing your own computer or use it on your cell phone.

Campus Resources: The school does have a gym and workout room that is very affordable ($5per year) but it is very small and there is not much equipment in it.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: There really isn't very much as far as campus life and I wish that they had dorm rooms available.

Overall Experience: Some semesters have been great because there was a lot of help available (for math and chemistry) but others have been really hard because there is not much help for physics or advanced anatomy. I've had some awesome teachers for math and chemistry and thanks to them I got A's in the classes but the advanced anatomy teacher that I have right now is a jerk and really doesn't seem to care about helping struggling students succeed in his class more than he cares about helping to "weed" through the students.

Academic Flexibility: I am looking at transferring to Madison and I am very happy about how easy it was to transfer my credits. Most of my classes did transfer over so that's going to make it so much easier for me.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Everything here is organized and I am easily able to sign up for classes and find my way around the building. The teachers are nice and work with you and the campus is well set up and clean. They offer many activities outside my program and provide good food!

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Just reccently I had to drop a class due to taking one too many classes at once. The process was very easy, only a phone to the front desk and they were able to drop the class for me. There was no hassle at all. As far as transferring credits I was a little disappointed that more of my credits did not bridge over for me.

College Junior

Career Services: I have not had to use these services from this school just yet.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: They have been great to work with and answer any questions I have. I did end up getting financial aid for school and they helped me pick which loan would be best and how much I would need.

5 College Junior

Career Services: Northeast Wisconsin Technical college is very helpful at finding students jobs after they graduate from college.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid was not possible for me but for students who can receive financial aid it is a very easy process.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Northeast Wisconsin Technical college has been a great college and I have enjoyed my experiences. All the teachers and staff are very helpful and are always willing to give you a hand when you need it. This school is very flexible with my schedule, working and studying is not easy but NWTC has made it easier.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Many clubs you can sign up for and attend events for ones you aren't a part of yet. Very small gym. Clean and modern aesthetics in the design of the buildings but very easy to get lost on campus with various levels and building connections in strange areas.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is cheap enough that financial aid went smoothly for me. Also, since the government doesn't send out financial aid before school starts so you can order books, NWTC gives a book voucher that is taken out of your aid when it finally does come through.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Small classes so you get to know your professors well and they really show a dedication towards you as an individual

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I choose NWTC. because it is flexible and it does allow me to work, but now that I;m starting my program its not as flexible because I am full time and need extra time to focus on these classes.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Online courses, were pretty good for my myself. The first time I took online classes it did not go so well, but now I took some again and they went much better!

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's very difficult understanding the process and when meeting with advisors they sometimes just rush through it and don't take the time to explain into detail, and al the loop holes. I have not received financial aid for a few years, because by GPA dropped due to me stopping some of my classes. I finally have worked my way up and have been paying for school, and it would be great to receive some scholarships to help pay for these expenses.

College Freshman

Campus Resources: I attend classes at the regional center, not the main campus.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: I have not taken any online courses at NWTC, but I have taken self-paced courses, and a distance learning lab. With both self-paced and distance learning, it is difficult to have a relationship with the instructor, but communication is a huge part of the class and is actively used by both instructor and student. My distance learning class was advanced, basically meaning the class length was shortened and the workload was doubled, but still the class was well taught and I learned a lot. My only gripe with self-paced, distance learning, and online classes is that there is little peer-to-peer interaction and communication can be challenging.
