4 College Freshman

Computers: It is great but it would be awesome if they were to give everyone a laptop, but overall everything seems good .

College Freshman

Drug Safety: I really don't know. I have never seen someone drink nor smoke on campus. but "WHO KNOWS?"

College Freshman

Athletics: Sports is a really important thing you can say at my school but then again their is no team spirit . No one goes and really supports them.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I must say that there are many off-campus places to dine. whether it is subway, mc donalds, pizza, Chinese , etc. .

But other than that you can always order food, but most importantly It is the city so there are many places to visit and dine.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I really don't know how strict the school is since I don't dorm there I commute. But over all the school is really good in maintaining well educated and behave students.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: They make it seem like they're the most diverse school in the world when there are only about 10% of the students that are non-white.

College Freshman

Computers: I have my own computer and printer. The wifi is good, but some dorm rooms get pretty slow internet.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: For Chicago, we have a good amount of space. The only complaint I have is that most residences have no air conditioning, but you really only need it the first two weeks of school. Otherwise they are fine. The social aspect is great.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: If your goal is to party every night in college, North Park is not the place for you. There is a small party scene, but most people just casually drink with their friends or go out to a bar.

College Freshman

Greek Life: We do not have greek life at North Park.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Soccer is a big deal at North Park, much more so than football. We also have a good rowing team.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I LOVE NORTH PARK. It is such a fantastic, diverse, accepting, God filled place. The community is so encouraging and fun, and I think that is what sets North Park apart from other schools. I love walking around and greeting people by name. I thought that it might feel too small, but because it is in the middle of Chicago, it is perfect. You can get away when you need to, but you still have your North Park family waiting for you when you get back.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: We have no on campus transportation, because North Park is small enough to just walk. The public transportation is great, there are three major busses that run by campus, and a train station (Kimball Brown Line) two blocks away.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It is uncomfortably hot for the first two weeks of school, but after that autumn is beautiful. The winters are not too bas, and the snow makes the city beautiful for a few hours after each snowfall. Spring is great, and the groundskeepers do a great job with the daffodils and tulips (and the landscaping in general) that make campus look fantastic.

3 College Freshman

Parking: We are in Chicago, so parking is pretty tight in the winter. When there is no snow, though, it is pretty easy to find street parking. Most students actually don't have cars because public transportation is so good around Chicago. We love the L!

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The process was very smooth and easy, but I didn't get quite as much financial aid as I needed. I did, however, become an RA and got an on campus job to make up the difference.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I love my major, and the internship opportunities are great because North Park is in Chicago. There are hundreds of options, and all of my friends who have done their internships have had great experiences. You can choose one that fits exactly what you want to do with your career.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I love my program. I would definitely do it all over again, college has been the best experience of my life. North Park has such a great nonprofit program with faculty that have connections to get you a job. The class sizes are small enough that I know all of my professors quite well (and more importantly, they know me). In the future I am planning on starting a nonprofit with a focus on the healing and reconciling nature of art. North Park is definitely preparing me for that.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: I love everyone here. There's a big variety in types of people- some are super conservative some are not- there's a crowd for everyone.

3 College Freshman

Academics: All of my professors have been great. I've heard some bad stories about others.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It's no hotel but the dorms are fine and the people are awesome.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love North Park. It has its quirks but it's the best.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Its such a big city and there's so much to do. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but the campus is great and kinda secluded.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: we live in a diverse area which means there's a huge variety of great restaurants. Prices are good and you can get a burrito at any hour so thats great. Theres even more options downtown/ anywhere on the brown line.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The area is dangerous but as long as your smart and take advantage of escorts you're fine.
