3 College Sophomore

Facilities: The only 2 year school around me whose nursing students and graduates whole-heartedly recommend.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Pre-Nursing. nursing advisor was very helpful in guiding me through the nursing application process, especially regarding working with my existing transcript and making it as impressive as possible. I have discussed the nursing program with nursing students and their testimonials by far outshine those of nursing students of other schools.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: seems to have the variety of classes as are average of other schools. also, average availability of academic advisors.

College Sophomore

Career Services: Have not used those services yet. will start a 2 year program this coming fall.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: very friendly classmates. most seem to have a goal in mind and aren't just going through the motions. a little bit loud everywhere except the library and during class so not easy to find somewhere to catch up on homework.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: financial aid department thoroughly answered all of my questions. Teachers want to teach and want to be asked questions. the classes I had allowed for time to study and time to complete assignments with care by not flooding students with online/paper quizzes, assignments, responses, group projects, readings from 5 different sources... which seems to send students into a frenzied checklist to complete rather than a confident learning experience. That made my tuition more "worth it."

Campus Resources: The library has many single cubby desks to study at in quiet. It also has a side with tables for tutors or small group study. I did not use any other student services or centers other than the cafeteria, which has a good variety and decent hours. coffee shop was a wonderful surprise!

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Personal computers connected easily to the internet. my classes did not require a personal computer. computer labs are usually full and even more so, slow to log in and be ready for use so there was no "quick print the assignment" or "quick take the quiz."

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: My teachers were very approachable during and outside of class for any questions. computer labs definitely had "busy" times during which open computers were scarce. There seemed to be available tables to study at in each wing of the campus but most are pretty loud or high traffic. only place to escape the college-noise seemed to be the library; no secret study spots like i've found at other colleges. That is my biggest complaint as I don't take homework home very well. all credits from multiple other 2-year colleges were accepted. friendly admissions, records, business and books departments. ample parking.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I have been learning a lot. I enjoy my studies and the studies involved.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The workload is flexible and totally worth it. You can easily manage everything.

4 College Junior

Facilities: The faculty is helpful and positive. They listen and are willing to be flexible.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I love the campus. It is fun and enjoyable. Its a great atmosphere,

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The campus is fun, lively and professional. All of the things work out well.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The flexibility is very nice and accommodating. I really appreciate it.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I think it's a bit difficult to get into the program for Nursing given there is a shortage in the field. Not everyone is an A student which makes it difficult for students that are average to get into a field the love.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Seams to be descent compared to other schools

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The instructors are really helpful because they'll go back and explain it clearly if you don't understand. This is helpful because it allows me to become a better student in some of my courses. However, due to being a shy person I don't tend to visit my instructor as often as I should, but whenever I visit them they always are willing to help.

College Senior

Facilities: I'm unable to answer this question because I have no idea about other school and how they are different except for the academic size.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Due to working and attending school, my classes are based on morning and afternoon courses, however there are some evening courses that I would like to take, but my work schedule is from Monday through Friday. As a result of applying for this course it would interfere with my daily schedule, but overall most of the courses fit into my schedule and are flexible.

4 College Senior

Student Body: The students are respectful of other students and the campus is really diverse. If you aren't in club some will try to get you involve in a club in order to meet with other students. There are a lot of students that form study groups together and other students that are willing to help tutor you in order to help you get a better grade in your academic course.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: The workload from the class are sometimes overwhelming, but doesn't take a extraordinary amount of time to accomplish them. The workload usually only take like 2-3 hours to complete them. Currently I'm in the liberal art program in order to get my generals, however, if I'm able to transfer to UND(University of North Dakota) or Mankato State University I will pursue in aviation. However, the liberal art program contains a friendly atmosphere. Therefore, my experience at North Hennepin had been good in the liberal art program.

College Senior

Online Courses: I haven't taken any online courses so my opinion wouldn't be applicable.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The atmosphere is great, due to the student being kind and helpful. Also the instructor are kind enough to help you along the way if you have problems in their course.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: There is a lot of computers, however the connection is not all great if you use your own laptop, but it's still fast enough for you to accomplish homework and able surf the web. However, it does disconnect sometimes, but it will reconnect again.
