Parking: The parking situation is not ideal. Unless you purchase a parking pass there is no available parking except for the pay lots, which have a four hour maximum. It's outrageous they do not offer a place for guests to park free of charge on campus, even something with a far walk would be better than having nothing at all.

Parking: The parking permit cost is a little on the high end for the year. A car is not a necessity on campus, it is helpful on weekends to go out but there are buses that take students around campus if needed as well as to stores on specific routes and schedules. The lots do fill up quickly and it can be quite a walk if a student does not get back early enough.

Parking: I've never stayed in a dorm at NDSU, so I'm not sure how far parking is in relation to those buildings. Permits cost 150 or so for the semester (less for the Dome permits if you're okay with riding a shuttle), and are good for usually one or two lots. Pick your lot wisely in relation to your classes. You don't want a permit good for the R lots when all of your classes are in CJPP. People double-park frequently, especially in the winter. Tickets seem to be handed out more frequently for a forgotten permit than for double-parking.

Parking: On Campus Residents get the best parking permits. Their parking Lots are close to their dorm and also close to the class rooms. There is very limited availability for commuting students to park around campus, and are furthest away from the classes.

Parking: I heard that it is hard to find spots that don't get tickets
